Q: Could you explain the function and advantages of your software platform designed to optimize HVAC and lighting?
A: Buildings are dynamic, not static. 75F created a smart solution which uses the Internet of Things and cloud computing to predict, analyze, monitor and control building temperature, preventing issues like hot and cold spots and pressure imbalances before they occur. The system is self-learning and proactive, making spaces not only more comfortable, but more efficient and cost-effective.
We also know that monitoring your building is as important as controlling it – so we built Facilisight, a suite of web and mobile apps, which makes it easy to oversee and manage your buildings across all sites or locations. You can schedule occupied hours, set vacations, or adjust the temperature remotely via your desktop or smartphone.

Q: Can you give us more insights into your features?
A: 75F uses smart modulating dampers to proactively regulate airflow. Traditional zone control systems are reactive, responding to errors after they occur in a constant battle to maintain the desired temperature by fully opening or closing zone dampers. 75F is a predictive system, anticipating heat loads based on the local weather and orientation of the building. Smart algorithms model the thermal envelope of the building and prevent temperature imbalances before they occur. With over 1.6 million lines of code, our model sends precise instructions to the system and proactively rebalances airflow to keep ahead of temperature drifts.
Q: Who is your ideal customer and why?
A: Our ideal customers are busy facility managers & asset managers who oversee multiple locations. Facility managers are often interrupted by calls about temperature issues, or having to make site visits. We help make life easier for facility managers by preventing temperature problems in the first place, and because our system allows facility managers to remotely view and manage the temperature and lighting across all stores – they can even schedule and push changes for all their buildings at once from their phone or computer. In addition, they can see real-time data about energy usage and savings. Energy savings, reduced maintenance costs and extended equipment life make an asset manager look good by reducing CAM costs and increasing the NOI of properties.

Q: What can we expect from 75F in next six months?
A: We’re growing fast! Our team is expanding, and we’re rolling out to new locations all the time. Our next generation of product is rolling out now, and our updated devices are smarter, sleeker, and faster. We’re developing new and custom solutions to fix issues related to pressure, humidity and lighting.
Q: You’ve recently announced rolling out to 34 Rockler Retail locations; tell us something more?
A: The 75F system was initially installed in Rocker’s headquarters, where management found the increased comfort and savings so beneficial that they decided to install the system in a select number of retail stores. Facility managers loved the solution, and within a short period of time they decided to expand from those select stores to 34 more locations nationwide. One of the best benefits for Rockler has been our Advanced Lighting solution, which put case displays on a scheduled circuit, cutting their lighting energy consumption in half by turning lights off overnight. We’re excited to help them further their savings.
