DBSync Continues To Expand Its iPaaS Offering In SMB Segments

DBSync is a complete on-demand software integration provider that empowers organizations to connect any combination of SaaS, on-premise and cloud apps together without the burden of installing and maintaining software and appliances. Over the years the company added support for many applications like Microsoft Dynamics CRM, GP and NAV, databases like Oracle, SQLServer, MySQL, and HR applications like TargetRecruit.net. Below is our interview with Rajeev Gupta, CEO of DBSync:

Q: DBSync was founded in June 2009, tell us something more about your solutions?

A: DBSync got spunoff from Avankia in 2009. The origins of it was a few years before when a healthcare customer of Avankia (a sister company) which focuses on Salesforce Consulting wanted to replicate Salesforce to its Oracle database. Around the same time we got into an incubation program by Salesforce, where this one of service engagement took form of a product and started to expand.

While at the incubation program we came to know of a void in Salesforce and QuickBooks, we quickly jumped into this opportunity. That is when we started getting in depth with CRM and Accounting. These products grew into becoming an iPaaS (Integration Platform-as-a-Service) Platform. Over the years we have added support for many other applications like Microsoft Dynamics CRM, GP and NAV, popular databases like Oracle, SQLServer, MySQL, HR applications like TargetRecruit.net and many more.

Our vision is to build a platform for connecting Digital Business and to “get your apps talking”.

Q: What advantage does DBSync have over its competitors?

A: Even though we are a platform play, we position our offering as a Solution to our customers. For small to mid we focus around CRM / eCommerce , HR and Accounting integration and for Enterprises, around Datawarehousing technologies.

Within the SMB space we are quite competitive with our pricing, the reason we win most deals are because our iPaaS platform is quite configurable. Since we are solution sell, we are very focused on understanding customers requirements and providing a complete solution, rather than just providing a tool. This provides us a significant advantage as compared to our competitors who often just provide a tool. We are highly rated and reviewed on various Marketplaces like appexchange.com.

When one looks at a integration product, often they just compare features and fail to look at the quality of support and services provided by the vendor. We have looked at it holistically and not only we provide the standard support like wiki, forum and others, but also great in person support. When you are dealing with Accounting data and money moving across systems, you would certainly want to have the right kind of support when you need it. Which is where most of our competitors fail, they are good for things like Google Spreedsheet or social media integration, but when you look at $ and transactions moving through your system, you need a different level of application functionality, experience and support.

For our Cloud Replication for Salesforce, we offer a very easy and cost-efficient Cloud data replication tool. Our application has a lot of pre-configured DBA (Database Administrator) routines which makes it very easy for DBA’s to get started and operate the tool. Q: Can you give us more insights into your Cloud Workflow iPaaS?

A: Our Cloud Workflow is provisioned to connect “Cloud to Cloud” or “Cloud to On-premise” rapidly to solve business problems. Organizations can use it to streamline their business process (like Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Payment integration) by customizing it as per their requirement or integrate Cloud applications with their Database. We support Cloud Adoption with our pre-built templates and easily customizable integration, APIs and extend the platform. We currently support Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, GP, NAV, Intacct, Inventiv, QuickBooks, Intacct, most popular databases like Oracle, SQLServer, MySQL, PostGres SQL, Custom connectors using AppCode, specialized Healthcare connectors and many more.

We have strong capabilities around Salesforce and Accounting integration, which is why many native applications like TargetRecruit.net (HR & Recruiting) and ServiceMax (field service) are using our platform to offer their customers integration capabilities to accounting apps.

Q: What are your plans for 2016?

A: We had a great 2015 and launched a new version of our iPaaS in Dec, along with a upgraded website and new community forum. As part of our latest build we added ability for a pluggable adapter development kit, AppCode. Now developers can quickly add new functionality to the platform and we can now quickly react to customer requests. The ground work has been laid out for expansion into new market and building a developer community.

In 2016, we will continue to expand our iPaaS offering in SMB segments; we feel that we can capture a much larger market share. We are looking to add more connectors for CRM, ERP, HR and Accounting applications. For our Cloud Replication Enterprise Datawarehousing toolset, we are looking to add additional apps and new capabilities around BigData and Apache Spark.

2016 will be busy, we are also prepared to respond to the rapidly rising demands in market and keep innovating relevant possibilities.
