Q: How would you describe Everlaw?
A: Everlaw is an easy-to-use software that lawyers use to prepare for litigation. Its advanced features, like machine intelligence and robust analytics, are tools for making legal teams more effective and efficient.
Q: You’ve recently announced $8.1M Series A funding. Tell us something more?
A: We’re thrilled about the investment, because it will allow us to accelerate the pace of product development. We plan to continue to combine cutting-edge computer science and really accessible user design in legal tools.

Q: Your platform incorporates artificial intelligence and data visualization. Could you explain your advantages?
A: We focus on making these complex concepts very intuitive for users. Just because artificial intelligence is a difficult engineering problem doesn’t mean that its results should be difficult to use. So, we design our visualizations to make complex data easy to consume, and we build our technology-assisted review (TAR) to make key documents easier to find.

Q: What is Blink-Speed Search, and how does it work?
A: Our software allows lawyers to search the documents in their case by terms like sender, file type, number of pages, whether it’s been rated, and many more. Unlike most search interfaces, which require a user to learn a complex query language, ours is color-coded, graphical, and drag-and-drop, making it easy to use without memorizing boolean syntax or counting parentheses. But it’s powerful enough to support wildcard, fuzzy, or proximity searches. We call it “blink-speed search” because results appear in less time than it takes to blink. You can even see a preview of results in real time, while you’re still building your query.

Q: What are your plans for the next six months?
A: We will continue to strengthen our engineering team, so we can continue to develop the platform. We’ll make some additional investments to expand our business team and support larger clients.
