Five Pack Creative was founded in 2008 by Jerry Beers. It is a group of passionate & talented team members with rich backgrounds in development, design, & QA. As an industry expert, many of their talented designers, developers, and QA analysts are regarded as some of the top talent in the industry. Below is our interview with Kerry Esmon from Five Pack Creative:

Q: Kerry, how would you describe Five Pack Creative and services it provides?

A: In 2008, Five Pack Creative co-founder, Jerry Beers, assembled a small team of talented app developers and began offering custom mobile development services like app design, development, and quality assurance. Through hundreds of projects large and small, our expertise and high standards for creating quality iOS and Android applications has helped us grow into a remote team of over 40 US-based app developers. Over time, our repertoire has also grown to include services like mobile development staffing, development education, and now that we’ve acquired Hours, we can add time tracking to that list as well.

Q: You’ve recently announced acquisition of Hours Time Tracking app; tell us something more?

A: Hours Time Tracking app was an instant success when it hit the App Store in 2014. Since then, and through a series of brilliant updates, it has earned endless praise from the press, was featured by Apple on more than one occasion, and has received great user reviews. Five Pack Creative was one of the first and largest adopters of Hours For Teams as our sole method for company time tracking and billing. We even wrote a blog post about it: 5 Reasons We Love Hours Time Tracking App. We have been part of Hours since the beginning and so naturally, we were very excited when the opportunity to acquire the product presented itself. We look forward to making Hours an even better experience with future updates and improvements!

Q: What advantage does Five Pack Creative have over its competitors?

A:
1. We’re industry experts. Many of our talented designers, developers, and QA analysts are regarded as some of the top talent in the industry; including FPC co-founder, Jerry Beers, who is a contributor at the acclaimed developer tutorial site raywenderlich.com. We even have our own iOS developer training program called ALT-U.

2. Hundreds of years of combined knowledge. Amongst our remote team, there are hundreds of years of combined knowledge and experience. Collectively, we share this knowledge to implement the best possible strategies when building a custom app for a client. When we supply clients with talented designers, developers, and testers to supplement their staff, they get the individual talent as well as that person’s access to the rest of our team’s extensive knowledge.

3. We are always close to our clients. Being a remote, US-based team, we have developers on the East coast, West coast, and everywhere in-between.
 
Q: What geographic markets are you focusing on currently?

A: Five Pack Creative is based in Dallas, TX, which is where our presence can be felt the strongest. Because our 40+ member team is remote, we’ve had the opportunity to work with clients all over the U.S. from several different industries: medical, travel, retail, music, gaming, social media, and more!

Q: What can we expect from you in next six months?

A: At the top of our list is making Hours Time Tracking app even better with regular updates and improvements, starting with the Hours Web and Hours for Teams apps. We’re looking forward to expanding ALT-U, our developer training program. We are also excited about growing our mobile staffing service and continuing designing, developing, and testing custom apps.
