Hotel platform ALICE recently announced $9.5 Million in Series A funding led by Expedia. With the new funding they launched ALICE Lite – a tool for front desk, concierge and the overnight shift. Below is our interview with Alex Shashou, Co-founder and President of ALICE. After graduation from Wharton Business School, Alex took a position with Goldman Sachs in the Equity Sales division in New York, leaving in September 2013 to pursue ALICE full-time.
Q: Alex, how would you describe ALICE in your own words?
A: Hotel software that helps hotels deliver consistently better service – connecting all staff departments and enabling better guest experiences through mobile engagement and staff request management.

Q: You’ve recently announced $9.5M Series A funding led by Expedia, tell us something more?
A: With the new funding we launched ALICE Lite – a brilliant tool for front desk, concierge and the overnight shift to work together to fulfill their guests’ needs at a lower price point than any existing solution on the market.
Q: What are your plans for next six months?
A: Grow the team, improve the product and build out our client base. We are hiring! From sales, to customer success, product and engineering we are looking for the best and brightest to join us and grow with us.

Q: What are the biggest benefits for your hotel partners?
