InCharged – Modular, Lightweight And Multimedia-Capable Mobile Charging Stations

InCharged offers custom branded cell phone charging stations that are modular, scalable and compatible with 100% of devices. Below is our interview with Jessica Gonzalez, CEO at InCharged:

Q: Jessica, tell us something more about the company and your history?

A: InCharged provides tactical marketing through mobile device charging technology: we design and manufacture mobile charging stations that are modular, lightweight, and multimedia-capable. The idea originated from my experience working in advertising: companies spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on traditional media buys that failed to engage the customer – wouldn’t a medium designed to actually benefit the customers make a stronger impression? In 2011, I moved into my father’s home and worked four jobs to save money to self-fund the company. I built a prototype in my bedroom, hired a salesperson and an engineer, and we grossed over $1 million in year one. In 2012, the company was officially incorporated and in 2016, we are on our sixth iteration of our flagship charging station model.

Q: Could you explain the most prominent advantages of your cell phone charging stations?

A: There are a lot of things that set InCharged apart: first of all, our pricing is competitive and our customer service is very highly rated. We have a wide variety of innovative models to choose from, whether you want something small and unobtrusive, a locker solution, or a full multimedia-enabled station that draws users in and shares marketing messages. Our newest locker solutions feature RFID technology, user metrics including heat maps, beacon technology, consumer surveys, reports on the age and gender of people who walk by the unit, and of course, the ability to safely store and charge mobile devices in the most high-end unit available on the market.

Q: You’ve recently announced partnership with Brightbox; tell us something more?

A: Its always exciting to team up with like-minded companies in order to provide better services for our clients. One of our great strengths is our rental infrastructure, so by partnering with Brightbox we are able to offer cell phone charging lockers for rent in addition to our other models. Our partnership is truly unique; no other company in the industry can provide the quality, variety, and customer service that we can along with BrightBox.

Q: What can we expect from InCharged in next six months?

A: We’re constantly innovating: right now we are the industry leader in charging stations for events, festivals, and venues, but we want to become a household name too. We’re developing solar charging stations as well as battery-powered mobile charging stations for situations where electricity is not readily available.

Q: What’s the achievement InCharged is most proud of?

A: Well the obvious answer would be our top-of-the-line, made-in-America cell phone charging technology – but we’re also really proud of the way our company runs. We have been self-funded from day 1 and operate with no debt. Our lean strategy has allowed us to remain constantly profitable even in an uncertain economy.
