Locus helps local companies and enterprises in courier, ecommerce, food delivery, FMCG and other verticals to optimise their logistics. Locus offers two services to clients — to build and to customise — with the goal of bringing clarity to companies operating in logistics, which is often considered an opaque industry in India. ‘Build’ leverages a cluster of APIs to help companies embed the service into their app so deliveries can be tracked using the Locus platform. ‘Customise’ gives large clients the ability to tailor-make the service for their needs and allows them to brand the service.

Q: What are main benefits of using Locus’s solutions? Who are your main customers?

A: Locus helps local companies and enterprises in courier, ecommerce, food delivery, FMCG and other verticals to optimise their logistics. Some of our customers include Urban Ladder, Delhivery & Freshmenu.

Urban Ladder has been one of the earliest users of Locus. Kaustubh Chakraborty, Vice President, Operations, Urban Ladder, says, “Locus is a fantastic product with a clear interface for easy adoption and usage. For a customer focused, fast growing company like ours, management of on-time, efficient deliveries is super important. Locus has helped improve our productivity by 25% in 3 months. The team has been very engaged and committed towards finding solutions for problems specific to us.”

A: We will be using the newly raised funds to strengthen the technology offerings and expand the team. In the next six months, Locus aims to make their foray into the hardware market, by building small plugs as their proprietary custom hardware. This is to remove any glitches from the process of delivery.
