Q: Tell us something more about M Moser Associates?
A: M Moser Associates PLLC are specialists in creating new workspaces for global companies undergoing business and cultural transformations. From start-ups to established global corporations, our diverse clients reflect the changing landscape of how we work. As companies embrace new technologies and practices within their business, we create solutions through design thinking that transform environments to be healthy, sustainable and forward- looking. We are proud to work with some of the most innovative and forward thinking companies in the world such as Microsoft, Google, Facebook, Blackstone, Citi, McKinsey, Merck, GSK, Pfizer and Pivotal Labs.
Q: You’ve recently announced plans to design Honeywell’s new software center and headquarters; could you tell us something more?
A: Our team collaborated with Honeywell to deliver an environment that is highly flexible for software teams and their focused work, as well as a living lab where their teams and partners can ‘kick the tires’ by testing home and commercial building and infrastructure technologies in a completely new way.
Through extensive global project experience, research and client engagement, M Moser has achieved a deep understanding of the type of workspace technology workers and software engineers need to be successful. M Moser recognizes software engineers need a high level of autonomy to perform well, so their workstations need to be highly flexible and adaptable, giving them choice in how they work, as well as the ability to influence their environment over time. In eliminating spatial hierarchy from the office design, M Moser created an environment where all employees feel empowered and inspired in their work. On the same floor, M Moser has created a central social gathering space next to workstations, meant to build group identity and culture while facilitating staff from other floors to connect with the community through a variety of hosted events. The design also supports Honeywell’s commitment to attracting and retaining the incredible talent that Atlanta, as a booming technology hub, both fosters within its local schools and draws from around the world.

Q: Who is your ideal client and why?
A: Companies driven by transformative change in their organization. We are experts in supporting them to achieve their business, cultural, and human strategies. Our teams are excited by complex projects that require solutions more advanced than simply creating another “container” for a business. Currently, we have a number of clients that work in close collaboration with our design teams, which we love. We have daily workshops with their teams, combining our global experience with their specific process and methodology, to develop the best solutions. Some clients want beautiful design, some ask for functional spaces, we’re excited to hand ours both.
Q: What’s the achievement you are most proud of?
A: Being considered an expert on successfully translating and supporting companies’ business transformations into the physical workspace. For each client, we develop specific designs that work to support their goals – whether that is a more agile workforce, or a shift in their core business. Our US team, for instance, is not just working with Blackstone on their new Innovations and Infrastructure project (Bxii) in Manhattan, but also just finished Prodigious’ new workplace in Industry City in Brooklyn, and a great tech project in San Francisco for New Relic.

Q: What are your plans for the future?
A: We have some exciting transformational projects ahead of us! We are working with a global financial client on a project that features an iconic integrated technology façade that will introduce unique data content in one of the most highly trafficked corners in the world, adding to the new architectural journey in Manhattan.
Using advanced tools, co-created with InSiteVR, the project uses their latest VR feature for its platform, Analytics — a tool that allows designers to replay and analyze a walk-through to learn more about user behavior. It also includes heat map functionality that further provides data on the distribution of users’ attention while interacting with the design. This leads to more informed design decision making and end user approvals that are subjective.
M Moser is at the edge of exploring how the interplay of exterior and interior technologically enhanced architecture can improve the public experience.
