Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to Mommy Knows Best?
A: From lactation supplements to delicious lactation treats and beyond to our online show, MomTalks with Christa, we offer all kinds of support and knowledge to moms at every stage.
Q: What is your backstory? How did your company come into being?
A: Shortly after giving birth to her first child, Kaela, Jenny (co-founder of Mommy Knows Best) noticed a drop in her milk supply. She became worried that she wouldn’t be able to provide enough milk for her baby. She was determined to find a natural solution to safely and quickly boost her supply. Through her research she learned that she was not alone, and that millions of mothers had experienced the same frustrations and challenges.
It was then that the idea of Mommy Knows Best came about. Committed to finding a natural solution, she went to work in the kitchen experimenting with different herbs and ingredients used for generations to treat low milk supply. Today, Jenny and husband, Tim Tierney (CEO), have two happy and healthy children.

Q: Can you give us insights into your products?
A: While we started with supplements to help moms get a boost in their milk supply. Our flagship product was our Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Lactation Cookie mix. Our moms loved the ease of making the lactation cookies that were not only delicious, but actually did what it set out to – BOOST their milk supply! Now we offer 6 different mixes. Our newest favorite? Our new ready-to-eat lactation cookies in 5 different flavors! These are perfect for our busy, on-the-go moms.
Q: What’s the best thing about your products that people might not know about?
A: The best thing about our products is the research and time that goes into them. We think through every step very carefully and thoughtfully. We make sure that the ingredients going into our cookies are something, we would actually want to ingest ourselves. (And believe me, we do!) We know that what a breastfeeding mom puts into her body is especially important! In addition to all the flavors, we also offer Gluten and Dairy Free options because we know some babies have severe milk allergies. We take time with the baking process to ensure that our customers are getting a delicious treat that they will actually enjoy!

Q: What are your plans for the future?
A: We are constantly on the lookout for needs of moms. We are always surveying and talking to our mom groups to see what would make their lives better as a mom, what is the world currently lacking for moms, and how we can help.
