Q: You’ve recently released your 2016 MarTech Data Report, tell us something more?

A: The MarTech Data Report surveyed over 400 marketers across a wide range of company sizes. It provided some fascinating insights into the biggest challenges that marketers are facing and visibility into the adoption for curve marketing automation technologies. One of the findings that I found most interesting was that most companies surveyed don’t have a fully-functioning marketing automation solution in place, and for those that do, their usage remains basic to moderate. The survey found that data issues are the key blockers for realizing the ROI of those solutions. The more technology and data a marketer has, the more they seem to feel they are lacking in data. The basic issue of data hygiene still dominates over the more advanced issues like enrichment and segmentation. In fact, 50% of those who have a marketing automation solution rank data hygiene as their #1 data challenge.

As a result of all this, survey respondents are spending more time on data management than anything else. It’s a sobering state of affairs for the marketing profession, but the survey told us there’s an immense opportunity for us at Openprise to help marketers become more successful.

Q: Can you give us more insights into your software?

We’ve seen marketing organizations struggle with all kinds of approaches to cleaning up their data, like hiring big offshore teams to manually try to get the job done, but that’s a time-consuming, error-prone approach, and marketers need to go fast. With Openprise, we’ve enabled marketing professionals to automate repetitive data tasks and simplify the continuous data maintenance in marketing automation platforms. Based on the millions of records we see, we’ve even created a series of what we call “data recipes” that capture everything we’ve learned about bad data in important fields and how to automatically fix them, and we’ve added built in analytics to help marketers better understand the health of their data.

Q: Could you tell us more about your pricing plans?

A: Sure. Working with Openprise couldn’t be easier. Openprise is a SaaS solution, and customers can choose to subscribe annually, or pay as they go on a monthly basis. There’s no contract or long-term commitment.

Marketers no longer need to face six-digit consulting contracts to get their data ready to run their programs or to deploy new solutions. Our entry-level solution is absolutely free for up to 50 MB of data, which is about 100,000 records for many companies. We also have additional packages at the Premium and Pro levels that contain additional capabilities like APIs, pre-built connectors, and reference data libraries that we’ve built from working with millions of records. Pricing at the Pro level is $1,000 per GB per month. Our solution is a fraction of the cost of IT’s data management solutions and manual offshore data cleansing projects.

Q: How would you convince the reader to start using Openprise?
