Q: How would you describe QCAM Currency Asset Management and the services it provides?
A: With the financial services industry constantly evolving traditional borders between business areas are being dissolved. QCAM Currency Asset Management AG merges two areas of competence, which we have successfully demonstrated over the past ten years: Currency Management and Asset Management. With our positioning in these two growth areas we are opening up unique perspectives to our customers. With a specific focus on Currency Management we offer a wide range of products and services – from our prize-winning currency strategy v-Pro to active and passive Currency Overlay, FX Best Execution, Structuring and Origination and transaction cost analysis. Other services are Cash-/Yield Enhancement or Macro- Investment where the currency component plays an important role.
Q: You’ve recently changed the company name from Quaesta Capital AG to QCAM Currency Asset Management AG; tell us something more.
A: With the change of the name – a logical consequence of our company development – we will further live up to our positioning as Currency Asset Management specialists. Particularly in our globalized markets FX expertise in Asset Management leads to significant increase in earnings and risk improvements. The concise “Q” which is also embedded in the new company logo is more than just a relic from the corporate history. It stands for a comprehensive quality of all QCAM services and products. In the course of the rebranding we also reconceptualized our website and brought it to a new level of usability.
Q: What geographic markets are you focusing on currently?
A: We operate on a worldwide level both in terms of markets and customers. QCAM Currency Asset Management AG brings together a team of internationally experienced Currency and Asset Management specialists. Proud of our Swiss roots we operate worldwide with a network of selected partners. Particularly in our globalized markets FX expertise in Asset Management leads to a significant increase in earnings and risk improvements.
Q: What makes QCAM a good choice?
A: A number of factors: As a privately owned company we demonstrate a high entrepreneurial spirit and customer focus while at the same time complying with all regulatory requirements. QCAM is regulated by FINMA (Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority) and SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission). Q: What are your plans for the next six months?
A: We will continue to establish the QCAM brand and convey the benefits of our unique positioning. Based on our strength we will be working on the development of innovative products and services and expand our reach into new markets. With the world economy remaining lacklustre, historical lows in interest rates and inflation to pick up, our industry is facing quite a number of major challenges. We will leverage the opportunities arising from huge currency misalignments. That is where we can play off our particular strengths for our customers.
