Rindle – Organize All Your Tasks Into One Screen

Listen to this article

Rindle is a personal task management app that integrates with the tools you already use and brings all your tasks into one screen. Here is our interview with Brian Faust, co-founder of Rindle:

BrianFaust

Q: Brian, what is your startup story?

A: Like many people, we love using web and phone applications to improve productivity. As we’ve added more tools to our arsenal, we’ve found that many web applications have simplified their approach in recent years and focused on doing one thing great, but they continue to struggle with handling numerous tasks. As a result, many small to mid-size businesses (even some large businesses) have adapted multiple web based platforms that specialize in certain areas of their business, resulting in several tools being used simultaneously.

As an example, a business may use Gmail to manage email communication, Basecamp to manage projects, GitHub for code repositories, and Slack for team collaboration. All of these applications can have tasks floating around that need to be done, which creates quite a disconnect. Nine times out of ten, having to-do items recorded in different locations leads to tasks falling through the cracks.

Our goal was to find a way to track tasks without having to manually manage each individual item. Some people spend time writing them down or typing them out in their app of choice, resulting in the use of many apps, random to-do lists scratched on a notepad, or sticky notes spread around your desk. We realized that there are many great tools out there for personal task management and even more for project management, but nothing brings all tasks together into one easy-to-use interface.

We’re solving this problem. Rindle is a personal task management app that easily integrates with the tools you already use, creating one central hub to keep track of your important information.

Q: What is Rindle? How does it work?

A: Rindle brings all of your tasks into one screen. Think of it as a task aggregator. Rindle enables you to manage your tasks and to-do list through several important features: you can stream information from the tools you already use, automatically generate tasks based on those tools, and you can easily move each item through your workflow. Here are some key features:

Streams
A stream can be a project, client, or topic that you want to organize. Once you set up a Stream, you can tell it exactly what content you want to organize in this section. Create rules for the Stream to easily keep your Stream tidy and see just the right content at the right time. Drag and drop to create tasks from any Stream without typing a word.

Integrations
Rindle integrates with the services you and your clients already use; Gmail, Slack, Trello, GitHub, Basecamp and many more. Instead of setting up a whole new system, you can continue using the tools that are already in place. Once you set up integrations to the services you use, you can add them to Streams and pull in the information that matters most.

Cards (Tasks)
Cards are like tasks, or anything you need to track and organize. When you create a card from a Stream, it automatically links back to that message, always giving you context for each item. You can also add a card from scratch by typing in the details manually, giving you complete control over all aspects of your workflow.

Your Own Personal Workflow
We believe everyone has a unique way of working, and you shouldn’t be controlled by the platform you, your company, or your client is using. With Rindle, you can create your own boards and columns, and structure a unique workflow that you create yourself. At last, you can keep track of the important things in one location, and set your own workflow regardless of the platforms you are working with.

Whether you work solo or with a team, you can boost your productivity by taking control of your workflow. Save time by putting all your tasks on a single screen, which allows you to stop jumping between tabs in your browser. Visually organize your tasks to make it easy for you to focus on the work that needs to get done.
