Slater’s 50/50 offers a unique, customizable and tasty burger, bacon and beer experience. With an endless combination of ingredients customers can even design their own burgers and try out over 50 craft beers which are served in all their restaurants. Below is our interview with Michael Nakleh, President of Slater’s 50/50:
Q: What is unique about Slater’s 50/50 and how does it stand out from Competition?
A: The most well known differentiation is that we are the original home of the 50% ground beef and 50% ground BACON 50/50 Burger. But more than that, at Slater’s 50/50 you can design your experience better than any other concept in existence. Our Design It menu allows guests to choose from over 1,000,000 different burger combinations. From over the top excesstacy to a healthy grilled chicken sandwich, our signature burgers combine creativity with familiarity to create plus +1 elevated comfort food. Our restaurants have over 50 craft beers on tap at all of our locations in constant rotation, with certified Cicerone Beer servers using proper glassware in the best maintained draft system in the country. We have the right beer served correctly for every guest. Throw in our Burger Of the Month (BOM) program, bacon infused anything/everything, VIP Club offering a beer a month, special dinners and a youthful attitude that beats the $#!T out of mediocrity and we will be the last man standing in the highly competitive burger category. Since the conception of the brand, many people have tried to replicate what we started but have not quite been able to perfect it as well as we have!
Q: You’ve recently announced your franchising opportunities; what is appealing for potential franchisees?
A: We are the next generation of elevated comfort food that competes and thrives in the highly competitive burger category. Interested parties can be apart of a concept that is primed to grow rapidly. No other opportunity will allow a franchisee to be a first adopter that will ask for you to put your very own footprint on a chain that is committed to march across the country and spread the gospel of Burgers, Bacon & Beer. Other franchise models don’t allow their franchisees a lot of control. The franchisor tells you what to do, how to do it, and when to do it. We want our first adopter’s to be a part of the brand and get their input on decisions with the brand. Slater’s 50/50 is a family and we want people that are as passionate about the brand as we are. It’s our people that make us the most appealing to our franchisee’s. You will get great training and ongoing support from our team. Q: Any specific geographic markets are you focusing on?
A: There aren’t any specific geographic markets that we are focusing on. Slater’s 50/50 will expand anywhere across the globe…Wherever there is a want for burgers, bacon, and beer, we will answer the call. As our company just started franchising we have received 100’s of requests from all around the globe and are in talks with many groups to develop areas in California, nationally and internationally.
Q: Describe Slater’s brand and marketing philosophies?
A: Our brand philosophy is simple – tell the story of Slater’s 50/50; not just that we serve burgers, bacon and beer, but that we do it better, and usually bigger, than anyone else. Bacon is definitely a key piece of that story and one of the things that sets us apart, so we love to talk about the 50/50 burger, as well as the other ways that we feature bacon throughout the menu. On the marketing side, we’re looking for ways to create loyalists. Our Burger of the Month program gives us a reason to reach out to our guests on a regular basis with a new or returning extreme burger, and we have a loyal following of guests that look forward to trying each month’s new creation. But’s it’s really the core of our menu that brings most guests coming back. Our Old Timey is simply the best bacon cheeseburger out there, and it’s a burger that you can eat every week. And, of course, our 50/50 Club drives frequency; guests who join our one of a kind club receive amazing benefits. It’s a great way for people to explore our crazy big beer lists, and our bartenders love helping people find their new favorite beer.
Q: What are your plans for 2017 and beyond as you take of the reins of this exciting brand?
A: Our plans for 2017 and beyond are to continue what Slater’s has already started in introducing our exciting brand to markets across the US and around the globe. Older restaurants will be getting remodels and we are looking to open new corporate restaurants in the next year. There has been an overwhelming response from interested parties all around the globe that want to be a part of the Slater’s 50/50 family and own their own restaurant. Our plan is to have 60 restaurants in the next 5 years.
We strive to always stay ahead of the trend and improve on what we are already great at, which is burgers, bacon and beer, so that will always be something we are working to do and be better at.Activate Social Media:
