Vroozi aims to make procurement easy and fun. The company announced a $4 Million funding round earlier this year. Vroozi was founded to help companies of all sizes and industries to transform their supply chain operations. Below is our interview with Ivy Montgomery, VP of Marketing at Vroozi:

Q: Ivy, tell us something more about Vroozi and your history?

A: Vroozi started 5 years ago with the vision to simplify B2B purchasing and give companies of all sizes access to procurement. Cofounder, Shaz Khan, implemented SAP supply chain and procurement solutions for Fortune 2000 companies for two decades. He was disheartened to find that after companies spent millions of dollars in software and implementation, no one wanted to use it. The adoption rate was dismal. Employees begrudgingly used the applications and tools provided by their companies. Simultaneously, consumers were beginning to opt for the convenience of online shopping instead of going to stores. Somehow consumer technology surpassed years ahead of enterprise technology.

Vroozi was created to make procurement easy and fun. Everyone knows how to shop online and on their smartphones. We want to make finding and requesting critical products convenient and easy, rather than dragging employees back to their desk to fill out a request form, asking the office manager to find it for them, or ordering things in hopes of getting reimbursed later. Our procurement is as accessible as e-mail on your phone or getting customer information through Salesforce.

Q: Could you please give us more insights into your platform and its functionality?

A: Vroozi is 100% cloud-based and mobile-friendly. This means employees can search, request, approve, and order items and services on any device. With Vroozi, companies can easily create a marketplace; automate requests, approval, and orders; transmit orders to suppliers electronically; and analyze spend to make informed business decisions.

Most enterprise companies have negotiated pricing with suppliers, but employees don’t know about those contracts or how to comply because the contracted items are not visible to them. That’s why enterprises need a catalog marketplace like Vroozi, where they can create an internal marketplace for their employees to find everything they need and still purchase within corporate policy.

We help move rapidly-growing companies from paper requests and non-approval orders, to ordering online with proper approval from managers and tracking of all orders in one place.
