Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to Innova?
A: Headquartered in Miami, Florida, Innova Eco Building System, LLC, has been a leading manufacturer of Magnesium Structural Insulated Panels in the USA for more than 7 years. The Innova MgO SIP panels are patented and trademarked under the name of “InnovaPanels©”. InnovaPanels© have been tested for hurricane wind loading over 200 mph and have gained Product Approvals and Notices of Acceptance in all regions of Florida, including the Miami-Dade County Coastal impact zone, which is one of the most stringent building code in the US.
Innova is currently distributing its products throughout the USA, Caribbean Islands and South America, being InnovaPanels© one of the most exciting and innovative green building products of the twenty first century. InnovaPanels© are a patented load bearing High Impact (HIP) Structural Insulated Building Panel with magnesium-based cement skins that can be used in place of masonry block, wood and steel framing as a load bearing or in-fill exterior wall system.
Q: What makes your building kit the best choice?
A: Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs), are a composite building material that consist of an insulating layer of rigid core sandwiched between two layers of structural board. The board can be plywood, cement fiber, Magnesium Oxide board (MgO) or Oriented Strand Board (OSB) and the core is expanded polystyrene foam (EPS).
The product that we mainly recommend to our clients is the MgO SIP panels, due to the properties that the material has over other regular building materials:
• The MgO does not absorb water, it is water proof, moisture, mold and mildew resistant,
• It is non-combustible, non-flammable. It is Fire resistant.
• High insulation R-Values. InnovaPanels© can be used as an insulated cladding system on almost any steel or concrete building structure, replacing infill block and steel framing systems.
• Energy efficient, lowering the power costs between 30% and 70%.
• Impact resistant, and high wind load (over 200 MPH)
• Easy and fast to assembly, reducing the time of construction, equipment and labor cost.
• Extremely low VOC emission (no off gassing) and low carbon manufacturing process.

Q: What’s included in it, and what’s not?
A: The Innova Eco Building System kit includes all of the necessary materials to quickly erect panelized buildings, which can be used as load bearing for up to 5 floors or as an exterior in-fill building skin to provide an eco friendly energy efficient replacement to masonry construction, that can be installed in a fraction of the time as masonry.
With the building kit we provide all interior and exterior walls, roof system, floor system, windows, doors, lumber and hardware needed as connectors and fasteners, set of sign and sealed plans, training for the General Contractor that is executing the installation.
As we are solely a manufacturer, we do not include installation service, land, concrete slab, plumbing and electrical connections or finishes.

Q: What kinds of building plans do you offer to your clients?
A: With our versatile building system, our clients can build single and multi-family homes, town homes, commercial buildings, educational buildings, churches, community centers and an endless list of light commercial structures requiring high performance green building standards. The clients can choose among our pre-designed building kits or we can manufacture the panels according to the client’s design, for a customized building.
