Airheart Helps Travelers To Conveniently Search For International And Domestic Destinations Based On Official Pandemic Restrictions

Listen to this article

Below is our recent interview with Lindsey Renken, CEO at Airheart:

Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to your company?

A: Airheart is a trip planning playground for solo travelers and groups. Officially founded in March of this year, our first free tool, Airheart Explorer, has launched in response to new travel requirements set in motion by the pandemic.

With Airheart, hopeful travelers can conveniently search for international and domestic destinations based on official restrictions and policies, quickly and in one browser tab. As they’re looking at where to travel this summer, we’ll help them understand which destinations are accessible, and what’s required.

Q: Any highlights on your recent announcement?

A: We’ve already started to see great traction! We’re receiving strong, positive feedback. Most people are delighted by what they’ve experienced so far. Some of the things people are liking most include,

1. Receiving a custom list of destinations that meet their criteria, such as quarantine policy, taking a COVID19 test, and wearing a mask in public.
2. Receiving information specific to their origin of travel, so they don’t have to read through the full list of restrictions to see what applies specifically to their situation.
3. Becoming informed of what life is like locally at their destination: COVID19 transmission rates, whether restaurants are open, if there’s a curfew, or if public transportation is operational, for instance. Knowing this ahead of time helps them understand what their vacation might look like, so they can know if it’s worth going.

Q: Can you give us more insights into your offering?

A: The pandemic has made navigating travel restrictions and policies difficult. It’s no wonder people are feeling less-than-confident about traveling abroad this summer. Simplifying this process for both international and domestic trips is the most pressing and underserved need for leisure travelers in 2021. At Airheart, we’re here to address this need.

Key Differentiators:

1. Accessible to travelers actively researching places to go, and often before they start to search for flights or hotels.
2. Intuitive platform, where the relevant information is all in one searchable, scannable location.
3. Route-specific notifications for when policies or restrictions change.
4. Leisure traveler friendly. You don’t need to subscribe to an expensive, cumbersome business travel tool.
5. Both international and domestic travel information.
6. COVID19 risk assessment and local guidelines for understanding life on-location.

Q: What can we expect from your company in the next 6 months? What are your plans?

A: In the very near-term, vaccinated travelers can see what travel policies apply to them, specifically, as they are starting to be treated differently from non-vaccinated travelers.

Within the next six months, Airheart will have launched its full travel planning application to the general public. Currently, there’s a waitlist for the application that we’re rolling out access to: first to our enthusiastic early-adopters, and later in spurts based on position in line.

Travelers use this tool to deliberate on the plans they’re deciding on. Then, once booked, itineraries are shared automatically, so everyone on the trip stays up to date. People can reach peace of mind knowing that the tedious parts of organizing travel have been done for them.

One way we do this is by enriching itineraries with helpful just-in-time data to assist travelers in planning and then navigating during their trip. Travel restrictions and policies pertaining to each leg of the trip will be among such data. Join the waitlist to learn more as we get closer to launch!

Q: What is the best thing about your company that people might not know about?

A: Our company is made up of travel enthusiasts who love cats. We’ve even included some cat ‘easter eggs’ in the Airheart application. See if you can spot them.
