Q: Any highlights on your recent announcement?
A: The new Akasia Universal Translator uses AI-based self-learning to translate asset inventory, workload capacity and utilization data from any source, including popular tools such as vCenter, RV Tools, Microsoft SCOM, CMDBs, and native cloud monitoring tools such as AWS Cloudwatch for seamless ingestion into Akasia Infrastructure Modeler. Akasia eliminates the need for specific cloud migration monitoring agents by reading outputs from tools that already exist in the data centers, resulting in less invasive and more expedient cloud migration assessments. The Akasia Universal Translator is a non-invasive utility that accepts output files from any pre-existing data center tool, and offers the ability to optionally anonymize the source data for higher privacy and security.
The step of gathering on-premises infrastructure and utilization detail as a preparation for cloud assessments is a complex task and frequently delays cloud migration projects by weeks if not months. With the help of the new Akasia Universal Translator, IT administrators can quickly and easily translate their on-premises or cloud infrastructure detail into data that can be uploaded for cloud assessments into the Akasia Infrastructure Modeler.

Q: Can you give us more insights into your offering?
A: Akasia offers two advanced SaaS solutions. The first, Akasia Infrastructure Modeler, provides cost planning for lift-and-shift migrations from one on-premises or cloud environment to another. It discovers on-premises resources and provides equivalent and right-sized cloud templates in minutes. It includes hidden costs such as network that incur unexpected charges in the cloud. Akasia’s automatically generated reports provide a complete cloud bill of materials and costs that form a starting point for lift and shift migrations.
Our second SaaS solution, Akasia Cloud Modeler, models costs for new cloud deployments. It allows the user to select and configure cloud-native resources such as serverless computing, cloud storage, and cloud databases, and compare the costs across different clouds. Akasia Cloud Modeler is a go-to for refactoring to cloud-native options.
