Q: Any highlights on your recent announcement?
A: Alviere is partnering with Coinbase Prime to provide crypto services into Alviere’s embedded finance platform.
The offering will roll out first in the US under Alviere’s state-by-state money transmission licenses and will allow the end users of Alviere’s programs to buy, store and sell select digital assets like BTC, ETH, LTC and USDC. Alviere will then later introduce crypto into international markets.
This partnership with Coinbase will immediately make crypto available to customers, and bring significant value, ease and comfort to companies that want to offer crypto services to their customers but don’t have the expertise or experience to navigate the depth and breadth of the crypto world.
Coinbase Prime will provide Alviere the Coinbase Prime Platform and crypto infrastructure to integrate crypto services into Alviere’s HIVE platform, starting with custody and execution of digital assets.
Q: Can you give us more insights into your offering?
A: By partnering with Alviere, brands can utilize embedded finance services in a fast, low risk, low friction way and can easily offer their customers any of the financial services currently available in Alviere’s HIVE through one simple API. All of the fintech offerings in HIVE are protected by AI-based security, fraud protection, a robust compliance & risk management program and regulatory licensing.
The financial services that Alviere’s HIVE enable brands to embed in their business include:
- Direct Deposit FDIC-Insured Checking and Savings Bank Accounts
- Debit, Credit, Prepaid Cards
- Gift Cards
- Loyalty Solutions
- Payment Services
- Cash Pickup and Deposit
- Domestic and International Money Transfer (Peer-to-peer remittance and beyond)
- Currency Exchange
- Crypto services
Q: What can we expect from your company in the next 6 months? What are your plans?
A: Alviere expects 2022 to be a year of exponential growth and international expansion. Looking ahead, Alviere will offer multi-currency accounts and will serve as an “introducing broker” that can help Coinbase further its mission of making crypto mainstream.
Q: What has the company been up to over the past year?
A: Over the past year, Alviere announced several major achievements and company milestones as it continued to grow and move the embedded finance industry forward.
In October 2021, Alviere announced it had raised $70 million of new funding, the largest investment in this emerging sector of fintech to date. In April 2021, Alviere closed a $20 million Series A. With the momentum Alviere had seen in the adoption of The HIVE, the company quickly added in October another $50 million investment in a follow-on Series B.
In December 2021, Alviere named Steven Scofelia as Chief Financial Officer. Scofelia assumes the CFO position on the heels of Alviere’s recent funding announcement and at a time of rapid expansion in Alviere’s business. In his new role, Scofelia will continue to build Alviere’s reliability and trust. He oversees finance, corporate development, investor relations, human resources, and culture.
In March 2022, Alviere announced that AutoPayPlus will be the first automotive industry company to sign on to its suite of services. AutoPayPlus will now offer car buyers a prepaid promotional debit card to be used at the selling dealership’s service department. The card will also give AutoPayPlus dealership partners a loyalty program, improving dealer revenue and customer retention. AutoPayPlus and Alviere plan to launch additional embedded finance services later this year.
