Below is our recent interview with Derrick Hoag, Chief of Product at PatientFi:

Q: Can you walk us through your loan application process? What does it take to apply?

A: Our goal with the application was to allow applicants the ability to finish all questions within the process without the need to research any unknown data – “start to finish in one minute”.

Through strategic integrations with banking services we allow our users the ability to finish our app without the need to manually enter any information of their own outside of a few user names and passwords.

Q: What is the technology?

A: Our application “stack” is a simple front end point of sale layer coupled with a blockchain underwriting model. All user portals are cloud based and complied with industry leading micro-services and structure.

Q: What’s the best thing about PatientFi that people might not know about?

A: I was the first to join the team alongside PatientFi’s co-founders, Todd Watts and Scott Jorgensen. When we set out to build a light weight software experience our internal and external Customer Experience goals began with several months of in-practice research, user experience, and interface testing with all group types from the practice staff to patients. From the beginning, our customers designed the platform we built for them.

Applicants – Borrowers: Lightweight – Available – Lightning Fast. These users wanted nothing more than a quick transition, to have access to their information, and be able to connect with a “real person” when they were in need.

Practice Staff & Doctors: Less Actions – Reporting and Data – Speed. Practices are extremely busy and patient financing should be an effortless step in the process.

Give these users what they need and want as they log in but then quickly send them on their way. We also deliver feedback generated features that compliment their role in the practice and make their jobs easier.
