Below is our recent interview with Gildo Beleski, CEO at Trikke Professional Mobility:

Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to your company?

A: Trikke Professional Mobility produces a line of three-wheel, electric vehicles designed for law enforcement and for use in a variety of commercial and industrial settings. Many police departments, airports, warehouses, and shopping centers that previously employed the Segway now use electric Trikkes. Our Professional Mobility unit is a subdivision of Trikke Tech Inc., founded in California in 2000. We used to make consumer-level Trikkes, but currently, our sole focus is vehicles designed to offer a more efficient, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly alternative to traditional modes of transportation for professional applications.

Q: Can you give us more insights into your offering?

A: All of our vehicles are powered by lithium-ion batteries and feature a range of up to 40 miles per charge, depending on the model. Each Trikke is designed to be highly maneuverable, with a tight turning radius and a low center of gravity that allows for navigation in tight spaces and crowded areas. They also feature an easily customizable, modular design. Models include: the Trikke Defender and the Trikke Positron, designed for security and law enforcement applications, with features such as flashing police lights and sirens; Trikke EMS, equipped for emergency medical services, with a stretcher mount and a medical kit; and Trikke Cargo, designed for cargo and logistics applications, with a large cargo bed and a payload capacity of up to 300 pounds.

Q: Any highlights or recent announcements?

A: We’re excited to announce the spring launch of the Positron 72V XL, featuring larger tires and an extended length and deck. This model is made to handle not-so-smooth terrain, street riding, and heavier and larger riders. The inspiration comes from multiple requests for heavy-duty units that can operate on city streets. We’re also rolling out new test-colors. In addition to the standard black, white, and blue, we now offer models in industrial gray and Caterpillar-yellow. The idea is to enhance visibility and create a more noticeable presence to the public.

Q: What can we expect from your company in the near future?

A: We’re currently testing airless tires, specifically for patrolling malls and well-paved areas. Our goal is to eliminate the need for inflating tires and the downtime caused by flat tires. Best of all, airless tires lasts twice as long and the replacement process is as easy as bolting on a new rim with a pre-assembled tire. Look for this optional feature to be available in October 2023.

Q: What is the best thing about your company that people might not know about?

A: Along with their practical benefits, Trikke electric vehicles are designed with sustainability in mind. They produce zero emissions and are a more environmentally-friendly alternative to traditional gasoline-powered vehicles. They’ve also been recognized for their fun and unique design and featured by a number of media outlets, including Forbes, CNN, and The Wall Street Journal. Best of all, Trikke Professional Mobility vehicles are now in use by agencies far and wide, from the San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit Police to the gigantic H-E-B grocery store chain in Texas, from the Norfolk, Virginia Police Department to the San Juan, Puerto Rico Municipal Airport.
