Below is our recent interview with Jonathan Herman, Chief Executive Officer at Bocazon:
Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to your company?
A: Bocazon is the top-rated eCommerce platform in Panama (Latin America’s strongest economy over the past twenty years) expanding to serve the entire “Canal Region” of Panama, Colombia & Costa Rica with 58 million consumers and growing demand for quality online shopping. In Panama, Bocazon is the first to provide: 1) Quality online shopping across a wide variety of product categories and major brands; 2) Free shipping with fast delivery nationwide; and 3) Exceptional bilingual customer service (5 stars on Google and 4.9 stars on Facebook); 4) Free anti-thefttracking on major items; and 5) Online customization of custom-built sport & passenger boats.
Q: Any highlights on your recent announcement?
A: After being voted the 2021 “Startup of the Year” in Miami Beach (where it is headquartered) by Hackernoon, Bocazon generated its highest quarterly sales to date in the first quarter of 2022. As Latin America remains among the fastest growing regions in the world for e-commerce, and with Panama exhibiting the highest economic convergence rate in the region (according to the IMF in 2021), Bocazon’s top-rated customer service and reliable delivery systems have allowed it to fair well despite global supply chain disruptions.
Q: Can you give us more insights into your offering?
A: Bocazon prides itself on providing the highest levels of customer service in a region where trust and reliability are often lacking. Bocazon has also overcome major logistics challenges in a country that does not have standardized mailing addresses, which has stifled the entry of other e-commerce platforms into the market. Bocazon provides the fast and reliable delivery of a wide range of products from top international brands.
Q: What can we expect from your company in next 6 months? What are your plans?
A: As the Panamanian government finalizes legislation to integrate crypto-currency transactions into the national economy, Bocazon (the first e-commerce platform in Panama to accept crypto payments) stands to substantially benefit from its blockchain leadership position. After El Salvador became the first nation in the world to integrate Bitcoin into its economy last year, several Latin American nations are taking legislative measures to utilize blockchain transactions more responsibly and with improved effectiveness – with Brazil and Paraguay also making recent headlines.
When Bocazon listed its “Head of Blockchain Strategy” position in early 2021 (a few months before Amazon listed a similar position) talented blockchain experts from around the world responded and have contributed to the company’s roadmap – which includes the development of a blockchain protocol for greater supply chain efficiency/transparency from the Panama Canal across Latin America. Once Panama enacts this legislation, Bocazon will benefit from its early incorporation of blockchain technology and the potential use of its protocol by wholesalers, brand licensees, logistics companies, and others across the region.
Q: What is the best thing about your company that people might not know about?
A: Our customers often remark that Bocazon provides a personal feel to the quality service that we provide. Customer satisfaction is the core principle that drives our company, and will continue to be at the center of our expansion across the region.Activate Social Media:
