Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to Marketplace Homes?
A: Marketplace Homes serves two functions: we are a brokerage and property manager. On the brokerage side, we help sell inventory for large national builders and focus on solving contingency problems where someone might have an issue selling their existing home. We run several programs to alleviate the home-to-sell issue so that more people can realize their dream of living in a new construction home. On the property management side, we work with everyone from accidental landlords to large institutional investors to manage their portfolio of rental properties. We offer full-cycle property management to acquire, lease, maintain and, ultimately, dispose of rental properties. We pride ourselves on maintaining your investment properties to the highest standard with fair, transparent pricing.
Q: Any highlights on your recent announcement?
A: We’re providing a highly differentiated approach to sourcing new properties by relying heavily on data analysis to find the best markets, rehabs and drive rent growth. This team has consistently been on the frontier of single-family rentals and now we’re bringing a simple, repeatable process to buy, rehab, and lease properties in multiple geographies.
Q: Can you give us more insights into your offering?
A: We use data and economic analysis to find the best markets and the best homes. Our team comes from quantitative trading and building real estate pricing algorithms, but we also have extensive experience in managing large-scale rehabs, maintenance, and leasing. This approach adds value by leveraging both big data and a vertically integrated infrastructure for managing the homes once purchased.
Q: What can we expect from Marketplace Homes in next 6 months? What are your plans?
A: We’re going to continue buying, rehabbing, and leasing homes for our clients. The single-family rental market has seen a lot of demand recently and we don’t expect that to change anytime soon. We plan to buy a lot of homes.
