Below is our recent interview with Sampo Parkkinen, CEO and Founder of Revieve:

Q: What is Revieve?

A: Revieve is a Finnish beauty technology company founded in 2016, with headquarters in Helsinki, Chicago, and a center of product development in Valencia, Spain, that’s supporting global brands and retailers deliver a personalized digital brand experience wherever customers prefer to shop.

Today, Revieve is recognized globally for its core platform technology: mobile skin diagnostics – a set of expert algorithms specifically trained and designed to analyze distinct skincare and beauty-related facial features from specific areas of the user’s face with just a selfie.

Revieve works with beauty brands and retailers globally, such as Shiseido, A.S. Watson Group (Superdrug), CVS, JCPenney, Rodan + Fields, Bulldog Skincare, Strivectin, No7 Beauty Company, and many more!

Q: Can you give us more insights into your offering?

A: Revieve provides a digital beauty-health-wellness platform that allows beauty brands and retailers to offer personalized shopping and product discovery experiences across any brand or retailer touchpoints.

The Revieve Digital Health-Beauty-Wellness Platform features self-diagnostic modules, add-ons, and integrations (live-shopping & consultations, smart mirrors) that span the customer journey as seamless, omnichannel purchasing options that drive consumer engagement and conversion across digital in-store and online brand touchpoints:

  • 1. Inspire and engage: Our platform includes solutions such as true-to-life AR-powered try-on for makeup, hair, and nails.
  • 2. Educate and convert: Our platform features advisory modules that personalize search and product discovery to deliver consumers targeted products, services, and treatments – the modules include AI Skincare Advisor, AI Makeup Advisor, AI Haircare Advisor, AI Suncare Advisor, and AI Nutrition Advisor.
  • 3. Retain and build loyalty: Our platform features coach experiences where you act as your customers’ guide on their journey to achieving their desired beauty goals across skin, hair, makeup, and nutrition.

Q: Any highlights on your recent announcement?

A: Coralai is the first company in the world to go live with Revieve’s Skin Coach – a post purchase skincare experience designed to allow users to trace changes in their skin over time and build customized routines that automatically adjust to evolving personal data and fluctuating environmental factors.

Additionally, as part of this launch, sits Revieve’s ecosystem partner: Clientela – a relational shopping platform for retailers. Together, we brought critical technology components to deliver a seamless customer experience to Coralai’s customers.

Q: What can we expect from your company in the next 6 months? What are your plans?

A: We are growing fast so for the time being we will continue our expansion in delivering personalization to brands and retailers across the globe.

In addition, growing the C-suite and leadership team to help strengthen Revieve’s platform offerings and provide long-term value to client partners.

Revieve also aims to launch new verticals for omnichannel use within the beauty, wellness and health space.

Q: What is the best thing about your company that people might not know about?

A: There are a couple of things:

1).The company has the same founding team that RapidBlue Solutions, the previous retail technology company our three co-founders started. RapidBlue was acquired by a Chicago-based company called ShopperTrak, back in 2013.

2) Even though we have main offices in Chicago, Helsinki, and Valencia, we are a globally distributed and a remote-first company. Today we have employees sitting across five continents and representing over 25 nationalities.
