Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to your company?
A: Onsego is an online education company dedicated to helping people earn their GED diploma quickly and with confidence. The GED, short for General Educational Development, is the U.S. high school equivalency test. Passing it shows that you have the same knowledge and skills as a traditional high school graduate, and it opens the door to better jobs, higher education, and new opportunities.
We provide a complete, self-paced preparation program recognized by the GED Testing Service. Our platform is designed to take away the stress and confusion around studying by breaking everything down into simple lessons, practice tests, and proven strategies. For many of our students, earning a GED is more than just passing a test—it’s the first step toward a brighter future.
Q: What makes you the best choice? How are you unique?
A: What sets Onsego apart is our focus on clarity and simplicity. Many GED prep options are overwhelming or outdated. We built Onsego to be the antidote to that—organized, supportive, and easy to follow. We also go beyond teaching the content by giving students proven test-taking strategies like “Cherry Picking” and “Divide and Conquer” that reduce test anxiety and increase scores. Q: Who is your ideal client and why?
A: Our ideal student is someone who didn’t finish high school but wants a second chance—whether that’s to get a better job, go to college, or simply achieve a personal goal. Many of our students are working adults or parents balancing busy lives. That’s why we designed Onsego to be flexible: you can study anytime, anywhere, in short bursts or long sessions. Q: What can we expect from you in the next 6 months? What are your plans?
A: Over the next six months, we’re focused on expanding both accessibility and personalization. We’ve recently launched FreeOnsego.com, which allows students to start learning at no cost—this helps people take their first step without hesitation. From there, we’ll be rolling out more advanced tools in our premium plans, such as deeper progress tracking, smarter practice test analytics, and targeted “Score Booster” modules.
We’re also continuing to build partnerships that can bring GED preparation to communities and schools in need. The goal is simple: make it easier than ever for someone to start studying and finish with a diploma in hand.
Q: What is the best thing about your company that people might not know about?
A: One of the best things about Onsego is how much our students shape what we do. Every feature we’ve built—from flashcards to our confidence-boosting strategies—comes directly from listening to their struggles and successes.
