An Interview With Suzanne Evans, President Of Driven INC

Below is our recent interview with Suzanne Evans, President of Driven INC:

Q: Suzanne, can you tell us something more about the company and your solutions?

A: Driven Inc provides our clients with business growth solutions. We’re lucky to support our clients in building, growing, and scaling their brands to experience success and financial freedom. We do this by teaching proven, specific, and scalable business models that serve them again and again.

Our solutions allow our customers to finally see the success that they’ve been working so hard for and allows them to reach the audiences that will help them get there. Over the last decade, I’ve been able to do my favorite thing every day: share my business expertise with my clients and make their brands thrive.

Q: Suzanne, tell us more about your business life path. How did you grow your own business?

A: After I worked for years as a secretary in New York City, I decided to build my own business… while still working my day job putting celebrities like Reba McEntire and Usher in Broadway shows!

I actually started my business in the produce aisle at a Whole Foods in Edgewater, NJ. Really. I had no idea how to get clients so I convinced the store manager to let me set up a booth in the store and I started looking for clients there. I learned a lot doing that. Some were painful lessons, but mostly I learned what it took to have a meaningful conversation about what services I could provide. It was the best training ground I would have asked for. Starting small and using speaking to grow changed everything, and I reached my seven-figure goal in less than 3 years.

Since then, I’ve built a team of more than a dozen full-time employees, relocated to Carrboro, North Carolina, landed on the Inc. 500/5000 5 years in a row, and been on the New York Times Bestseller list. Simply put; we’ve worked hard and seen incredible results over the last decade.

Q: Can you give us insights into your services?

A: I love speaking and always have, so I host several events each year. They give me a chance to do what I love most: speaking, teaching, and interacting with business owners. We have thousands of entrepreneurs show up each year who are ready to scale their business and be seen.

We also provide consulting for business owners. I find that rolling up our sleeves and getting under the hood of our clients’ business is the fastest way to spot the issues as well as fine tune what will increase their growth. It’s always incredible to see the speed of growth that can happen when people have the right person in place to guide them.

In addition to events and consulting we’ve also created a suite of online products and programs that guide business owners who are in the discovery and start-up phase of their business. These online programs are typically self-paced and provide business owners with the right mix of private consulting with our coaches as well as the infrastructure to ensure they’re actively working on revenue generating activities in their business and not getting sidelined by a long to-do list that won’t increase their profits. You’d be surprised how often I have to tell my clients to “go where the money is!”

Q: Why every business needs a plan for growth?

A: Starting a business is simple, but keeping it growing is a complex process. In fact, we’ve found that most businesses don’t have a plan for growth! Maybe some people are comfortable with the hitting a plateau, but not me. I’ve always wanted more, and my determination has taken me to places I never imagined going. That’s the kind of client I want to serve. I love to walk business owners through the growth process and show them how simple it can be to sustain a profitable business.

I’ve had several invaluable coaches and mentors throughout my career, and it’s a blessing to be able to provide that resource to others.

My motto is “businesses don’t run out of money, they run out of ideas.” In my business, I get to be a problem solver. My business gives small business owners the money-making ideas and strategies to start growing faster- so they’ll never fizzle out.

Q: Why do people love Driven INC?

A: We understand that business isn’t “one-size-fits-all” and we strive to make personalized solutions for every single one of our clients. Our clients love us because we provide results- and we don’t stop until we reach our goals.

My clients know that they’ll get 100% of my attention during each session. I know that there are tons of complicated marketing tactics out there- so we pride ourselves on simplifying those and taking people back to basics to turn a profit. Because that’s all that matters.

Q: Can you share some case studies with us?

A: Of course. One of our most successful clients, Christina, is the perfect example of how a coaching program can support a growing business and make it totally explode. Christina was making $3,500 a month with her PR agency, but needed a little help expanding it. After a year in Thrive, our flagship coaching program, Christina was making over $20,000 a month- and she’s still growing. That’s a 555% increase in under a year. She finally bought her family a house with a pool!

Another client, Randy, told me once at an event that only after 10 years in his business, he felt like his earnings in his life coaching business equaled his talent. He tripled his revenue to $18,000 a month after working with Driven Inc. These kinds of success stories happen when people are willing to be coached and actually put in the work to take their business to the next level.

Q: What are your plans for the future?

A: Today, brands that have more eyes on them make more money, and we are excited to introduce several done-for-you solutions like our Driven Media division to help our clients navigate that. Our upcoming event, Driven: The Event, in Orlando, FL, will show attendees how to cut through the noise, be more visible, and grow their brands using the latest strategies, specifically in attention marketing. Our focus is on the Attention Economy of today’s market and how to help entrepreneurs navigate that without losing site of why they started their business in the first place.
