An Interview With Warren Chew, Managing Director At ELFIGO Mobility

SSuperbCrew is a trusted resource for discovering innovative companies, emerging startups, and the latest technology trends.

Below is our recent interview with Warren Chew, Managing Director at ELFIGO Mobility Pte. Ltd.:

Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to your company?

A: ELFIGO Mobility (formerly Falcon Mobility) is Singapore’s leading distributor of personal mobility aids (PMAs), including electric wheelchairs and mobility scooters. Beyond Singapore, we also operate through franchisees in Australia who provide a “test-before-you-buy” experience and localized after-sales support.

We are also recognized as a leading innovator in the mobility industry. For example, we launched ELFIGO 247, Singapore’s first emergency roadside assistance service for PMAs, and we’ve deployed AI-powered chatbots to assist customers with product support, technical troubleshooting, and even regulatory matters. These initiatives reflect our commitment to staying ahead of customer needs while raising the standard for the entire industry.

Q: What makes you the best choice? How are you unique?

A: Our biggest differentiator is after-sales service. Since founding the company in 2007, I’ve insisted on providing on-site warranty support as the default, while competitors only offer carry-in service.

Mobility scooters and motorized wheelchairs can be heavy, and many of our elderly customers live alone or already face physical disabilities. For them, bringing a device to a service center is often impossible. By including on-site service as standard, we remove that burden. Even today, no other competitor in Singapore provides this level of support.

Q: What can we expect from you in the next 6 months? What are your plans?

A: After my mother’s fall in mid-2025, I decided to launch a new vertical focused on fall prevention and protection. The flagship product is the FallSafe Airbag Vest, a wearable with built-in sensors and airbags. When a fall is detected, the airbags inflate in just 0.18 seconds to cushion critical areas such as the head, shoulders, chest, back, and hips.

This product reflects our continued commitment to solving real-world problems faced by seniors and their families.

Q: What is the best thing about your company that people might not know about?

A: Many people think we are simply in the mobility business. In reality, we are in the mental health business.

When seniors lose their ability to move around independently, it can trigger frustration, anxiety, and even depression — similar to how babies cry when they cannot communicate or get what they need. By restoring independence through mobility aids, we also restore dignity, confidence, and emotional balance.

This philosophy inspired our rebrand to ELFIGO: “ELFI” stands for “Enabling Lives with Freedom and Independence,” while “GO” reflects the mobility aspect of our business.
