Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to your company?
A: App8 provides omnichannel digital ordering solutions to foodservice brands such as restaurant chains, food halls, and concourses, slashing operating costs and improving the bottom line. With App8, foodservice brands eliminate bottlenecks in ordering and processing payments, and reduce the need for staff to perform administrative tasks.

Q: Any highlights on your recent announcement?
A: Over the last few years, the adoption curve of digital tech exploded, and today’s consumers demand the convenience and safety of using their own device – that’s here to stay. At the same time, today’s foodservice brands are selling across multiple channels using creative methods. Brands are catering to orders coming from guests in the restaurant, but also at home, at a nearby sports event, or in a cabana by the beach.

Q: Can you give us more insights into your offering?
A: Taking the example of a food hall in a lively part of town. Traditionally, the venue would serve guests dining in, and would run marketing campaigns with the nearby concert hall, office building and hiking trail to draw guests in. The focus was on guests who came on site and ordered.
With App8’s Order Anywhere™ plan, the food hall now directly receives orders from guests wherever they are and operates with fewer front-of-house staff. Here’s how it works:
- App8 provides the food hall with a virtual concourse: a mobile and web friendly view of the food and beverage options at the food hall
- Dine-in guests scan or tap their phones on table-top beacons to browse the menus, place an order and pay (or run a tab)
- Guests at home can go to the food hall’s website and order pickup, delivery, or pre-order in advance of arrival
- Guests in the concert hall, office building, or hiking trail can scan the food hall’s digital concourse QR code printed on marketing materials, place an order, and pay
The best part is, App8 integrates into the food hall’s POS system, can scale to all their nationwide locations, and is centrally managed.
Q: What can we expect from your company in the next 6 months? What are your plans?
A: As App8 continues to grow across foodservice brands, expect more digital experiences to be powered by App8 across North America from bowling alleys to stadiums and restaurants.
