Armed With The SQream Data Analytics Acceleration Platform, Organizations Can Now Analyze The Full Scope Of Their Data Stores

Listen to this article

Below is our recent interview with Ami Gal, CEO at SQream:

Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to SQream?

A: As data evolved from big to massive, organizations found themselves limited by legacy systems unable to keep up. They were hitting the wall when trying to make sense of these massive amounts of data. SQream was founded to meet the challenges organizations face with their exponentially growing data.

Armed with the SQream data analytics acceleration platform, organizations can now analyze the full scope of their data stores. Whether it’s terabytes or petabytes, SQream’s accelerated ingestion and analysis reduces query time from days to hours, and hours to minutes. This means getting insights faster, over larger data stores and more dimensions – and that makes a critical difference in business.

Q: You’ve recently announced the release of ‘The 2021 Challenges of Massive Data Analytics Report’; can you tell us something more?

A: With enterprise data growing to never-before-seen levels, data professionals are challenged with how to rapidly analyze their data while it is still relevant. Either their complex SQL queries take too long or aren’t able to complete due to an overload on system resources, or they are unable to analyze the amount of data that would bring them the insights they need.

We carried out a survey and collected feedback from hundreds of data professionals from around the world to get a first-hand look at some of the biggest challenges facing them today. The 2021 Challenges of Massive Data Analytics Report highlights what data leaders are experiencing both in terms of data growth, budgets and obstacles they are encountering in extracting critical business insights from their data.

Q: Can you give us more insights into your solutions?

A: In today’s fast-paced environment, organizations need near-real time insights to be able to respond to the changing market. SQream empowers organizations with a solution that takes their critical business insights to another level, by enabling them to run faster analytics on the full scope of their massive data stores.

Q: What makes your Data Acceleration Platform unique?

A: When faced with massive analytic workloads, CPU-based systems often hit the wall. As queries grow in complexity, diversity, and the amount of data being processed – query latency with traditional systems can span many minutes to hours.

The SQream platform is specifically designed to handle massive data sets – from dozens of terabytes to petabytes. SQream shines where others fail – bringing complex queries that take days down to hours, and hours, down to minutes using the raw brute-force power and high throughput capabilities of the GPU to crunch massive amounts of data in SQL. And where traditional analytics systems require arduous data preparation, SQream frees massive data from these legacy limitations by looking at raw data directly, enabling data professionals to slice and dice their data without the need for time-consuming preparation.

Q: What can we expect from SQream in next 6 months? What are your plans?

A: First of all to understand what you can expect of SQream, you need to understand the context of what is happening in the industry. The rise of 5G and the accelerated digital transformation brought on by COVID-19 mean that one of the biggest challenges organizations face is the way they are managing and analyzing their fast-growing data stores. The growth they are experiencing is nothing short of a revolution, and the influx of 5G data will drive new opportunities for enterprises who can take advantage of being able to rapidly ingest and analyze massive amounts of data. We are experiencing a real revolution in terms of the different applications that are being developed. Telecom companies are now able to offer reduced latency, which opens up the option for applications in manufacturing, digital health, financial services and more, that were previously not possible due to high latency. These new applications are driving the explosion of massive data.

With this in the background, SQream will continue serving mobile operators such as Orange, LG UPlus, AIS, Cellcom and others who will adopt SQream’s technology as an industry standard, as well as industries like finance, healthcare, manufacturing, retail, and more. We will continue to empower organizations with the ability to rapidly ingest and analyze their data, strengthening our base in the telecom industry and beyond, to provide organizations with a solution that puts them fully in control of their massive data, and enables them to get the answers they need, when they need them.
