Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to Viberate?

A: We enable musicians, booking agents, venues, and fans to connect and transact with one another. Currently, there are over 150,000 artists (from superstars to garage bands), 2,000 booking agencies, 60.000 music venues and 500.000 events listed on Viberate. Profiles are furnished with all available social media links and analytical insights and equipped with contact information.

Of course, we’re not just measuring how many likes one has on Facebook. Viberate also knows how audience is engaging with the content on various social channels which helps agencies and venues to discover new and upcoming artists by genre, content, country and their growing popularity. So – if you’re looking for a DJ, you can go on Viberate.com. And if you want check who’s available near you, or within your budget, you can negotiate a deal.

Artists, on the other hand, will be able to use Viberate to reach a much wider exposure and receive a fairer and a more transparent treatment. This is also where blockchain technology comes into play. We are developing a system, based on principles of smart contracts, where payments will be completely secured and – this is especially important for musicians – on time and in the pre-agreed amount.

At the end of the day, our mission is to give every musician on the planet an equal opportunity to receive exposure, no matter if they are a garage band or a stadium rock star. Of course we are not alone in pursuing our goals. Two of the most notable supporters are, for instance, world-famous techno artist DJ UMEK (he is also Viberate’s cofounder), and Imogen Heap, a two-times Grammy Award Winner and Novello Award Winner – she just joined the team as an advisor.

Q: Tell us something more about your recent ICO

A: It was held on 5 September 2017 and we managed to raise 10.7 million dollars in less than 5 minutes, selling the total planned amount of VIB tokens (120 million). The ICO has been considered as one of the fastest and most anticipated to date. We have received a vast support from both crypto and music communities, which has been a big indicator that people see an actual potential in our work and results. People have, for instance, noticed that Viberate already has a working product and is one of those few startups that can actually put out a token with a real utility value. The demand for VIB token of course also followed; currently it is listed on OKEx, Binance, Bittrex, Changelly, Upbit, HitBTC, Livecoin and Etherdelta exchanges.

Funds, raised in the token crowdsale, are now being used to significantly upgrade and extend the platforms with various features, including blockchain components. We have planned all of our releases and implementations in a whitepaper and so far every one of them has been delivered on time.

Q: What is unique about Viberate and how does it stand out?

A: As mentioned above, it stands out as a comprehensive solution which already works and has an extensive traction. If you combine this with the fact that live music industry is a 50 billion-dollar industry often times run on passing emails and making call, we are in a very good position to become a global talent marketplace. Being an early adopter of a blockchain technology that enables greater simplicity, transparency and safety of transactions also gives us an important edge against the competition.

Q: How can your users make money?

A: Every day, we distribute 5000 Viberate tokens among users that actively contribute to our database. This means, we reward users who add and curate profiles or are helping us to spread the word of Viberate on social media. Our team is especially proud of the relations that we have established with the members of the community from all over the world. In the end, they are our main asset in leveraging the vision of decentralization. Of course, everyone can also spend VIB to buy event tickets, book artists or purchase merchandise from Viberate shop, for example.

Q: What are your plans until the end of the year?

A: In the following months we plan to implement event organizer profiles and VIB wallet. We will also launch the new Viberate 3.0 for fans (including fan clubs) and professionals and two mobile apps. A detailed promotional strategy is also in place – we plan to visit all the relevant music and blockchain conferences as well as work with ambassadors to get the word about Viberate out to an even broader audience.
