Q: Any highlights on your recent announcement?

A: After decades of self-funding, Buildings IOT felt the time was right to seek outside investment.

While the company provides software, solutions, and services to help building stakeholders maintain their assets and optimize equipment performance, the subsiding of the pandemic and the return of occupants to buildings prompted Buildings IOT’s to seek growth capital to accelerate its efforts to help make buildings more efficient, safe, and healthy.

Q: Can you give us more insights into your offering?

A: Buildings IOT offers an advanced building analytics, automation, and management platform as a service to building operators and service providers, primarily through its onPoint and IOT Jetstream products.

Buildings IOT manages over 220 million square feet of building space in the data center, utilities, government, pharmaceutical, retail, commercial real estate and higher education industries.

Buildings IOT delivers software and services in 4 primary areas:

• Master systems integration
• Building systems contracting
• Building systems service
• Annual subscriptions

As a Master Systems Integrator, Buildings IOT installs and configures building control systems for operational areas as diverse as HVAC, access control and IT infrastructure.

Buildings IOT then brings the data from each of those systems together within a single management interface command-and-control system.

Q: What can we expect from your company in the next 6 months? What are your plans?

A: Buildings IOT will use the growth investment to more quickly scale the company’s data management platforms and suite of building services.

The investment allows Buildings IOT to reach more customers and have a greater positive impact on the built environment.
