Q: Chronic Tacos celebrates authenticity and the individuality of its customers; could you tell us what makes Chronic Tacos unique in the market?

A: What makes Chronic Tacos unique is how we’re celebrating the individuality of our guests through our completely customizable menu. All of our ingredients are laid out in front of the guests, allowing them freedom and creativity with their meals.

While we grow as a brand, we continue to remain true to our roots and our third-generation recipes. Our celebration of authenticity is seen through our high-quality ingredients. Our Pico de Gallo, guacamole, and hot sauces are made from scratch, and you can really taste the difference. Our dedication to the quality of our food separates us from other fast casual chains.

We remain unparalleled in that we’re not just a Fast Casual chain; we’re a lifestyle brand. From the custom artwork on our walls, the music playing in our restaurants, and our involvement with action sports– the Taco Life embodies authenticity, activity, and individuality.

Q: Tell us something more about your international franchise’s “Nothing To Hide” campaign?

A: The “Nothing to Hide” campaign represents our dedication to quality and transparency. Our commitment to our guests’ health catalyzed a switch to a higher quality product. With that, you’ll see our menu now includes: all natural proteins, no artificial ingredients, no added hormones, and non-GMO tortillas. We’ve also adopted a full traceability model for our produce, allowing us to trace back locally sourced ingredients to the farm.

In addition to the food product switch, we now utilize compostable and biodegradable paper products.

Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to the Chronic Tacos Fantasy Football?

A: The Chronic Tacos Fantasy Football League was created to engage our loyal fans and build new customer relationships.

Guests can pick new teams weekly to win prizes, in the form of Chronic Tacos gift cards. The program is entirely online where we offer an easy-to-follow roster system, similar to the classic setup. Our guests can sit back, enjoy some football (and a couple of tacos), and watch their fantasy team compete on the live leaderboard!

Q: What are your plans for 2017?

A: We’re extremely excited for the new year. We’re wrapping up 2016 with a 50% growth in store count. We’ve already got 20 stores slated to open in 2017, and more in the pipeline!

Next year, guests will find additional California openings, as well as east coast locations in North Carolina, Alabama, and Florida. We also have an Alberta, Canada location to open in the upcoming year.

Q: What’s the best thing about Chronic Tacos that people might not know about?

A: I don’t think guests know that we have a variety of off-menu items. Our customizable and made-to-order layout allows us to get creative and offer California burritos, wet burritos, enchiladas, etc.; and along with our third-generation recipes, our beans and rice are traditionally cooked.

People also might not know that we feature original artwork in each of our locations. We showcase our roots through custom Day of the Dead murals on the walls of our newest stores, and wall art created by local artists.
