The company has recently announced a $6.5 Million Series B funding round. Below is our interview with Marcia Noyes, Director of Communications at Catalyze:
Q: Marcia, tell us something more about the Catalyze and your history?
A: Catalyze started in 2013 when co-founders Travis Good, MD and Mohan Balachandran encountered and then solved a problem that all healthcare IT vendors face — HIPAA compliance in the cloud. They solved the challenge with a cloud-based HIPAA compliant infrastructure (now called Stratum). Madison-based Catalyze then solved another challenge for vendors in 2015 by simplifying EHR integration with an end-to-end process called Redpoint. Catalyze has taken the lead in compliance and security by becoming one of the first Business Associates to become HITRUST CSF Certified. In 2016, HITRUST Alliance named Catalyze CEO and Chief Privacy Officer Dr. Travis Good as a founding member to its newly-formed HITRUST Business Associate Council.

Q: Could you please give us more insights into Catalyze products and their functionalities?
A: Catalyze currently has two products: Stratum and Redpoint. Stratum is a cloud-based, HIPAA compliant infrastructure upon which development teams can build their healthcare technologies with confidence that their solutions will be secure, private and compliant. Redpoint is Catalyze’s end-to-end EHR integration solution that manages and solves all the questions a development team would have when data exchange is required. Unlike many solutions that address only one aspect of EHR integration, Redpoint takes a holistic approach to solve all the challenges with EHR connections.
