Q: You’ve recently announced $50 million in institutional funding from Level Equity; could you tell us something more?

A: Before last week, CloudCheckr had taken less than $1 million of outside funding since our founding in 2011. Our growth and success was all based on organic bootstrapping and a laser focus on customer success. This funding is important for many reasons—especially as the IaaS (infrastructure-as-a-service) space continues to grow, and we look to grow our business to meet customer needs. Of course, we are thrilled because this investment will allow us to accelerate our growth and give us additional resources as we continue to provide a leading Cloud Management Platform in this emerging space. CloudCheckr has always been an engineering company; we have always focused on building awesome technology that is easy to use and provides tremendous value, not on trying to out-market or out-sell others. This funding won’t change that. Our focus will remain on building the most robust, scalable, feature-rich platform we can and ensuring we put our customers first in everything we do.

Q: Who are the primary users of CloudCheckr and what are some of the key challenges you are helping them solve?
