Below is our recent interview with Michelle West, Marketing Manager at DriveSavers:
Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to your company?
A: DriveSavers is the worldwide leader in data recovery services and provides the fastest, most secure and most reliable data recovery service there is. We can recover lost data from any storage device, including laptops, phones, camera cards and more.
We employ over 90 professionals and support over 18,000 business partners. Most of our business comes from referrals and repeat customers. Having been a leader since opening our doors in 1985, we have earned a reputation as the most trusted and respected data recovery service provider in the industry.
DriveSavers is authorized and recommended by leading computer and storage device manufacturers; our recovery work will never void the original warranty. In addition, close and long-term relationships with leading storage device manufacturers help us keep pace with changing technology and inspire the continued development of our proprietary software and hardware solutions.
Q: Any highlights on your recent announcement?
A: DriveSavers may be the first in the world to recover data from Apple M1 and T2 logic boards that have been catastrophically damaged beyond repair. We continue to be the global leader in the advancement of data recovery services, including Apple’s most advanced and secure devices featuring the M1, M2, and T2 SoCs (system-on-a-chip).
The talent and expertise of DriveSavers data recovery engineers are unmatched. In addition, we have the advantage of extensive resources and OEM relationships, so we’re able to develop and perfect techniques before performing the recovery on the customer’s device. As a result, DriveSavers is hands-down the most capable at recovering data from these ultra-advanced, ultra-secure devices.
These advancements allow DriveSavers to continuously recover data that others didn’t know could be recovered or had been deemed lost forever.
Q: Can you give us more insights into this advancement?
A: DriveSavers data recovery engineers specialize in advanced diagnostics and microsoldering techniques to recover data from embedded flash memory devices. This includes all types of flash memory, including Android devices, tablets, iPhones, camera cards, Surface Pros, and Apple computers using M1, M2, and T2 technology.
The data recovery engineers at DriveSavers have identified the critical components necessary to access data from Apple computers using M1, M2, and T2 SoCs. They have successfully transplanted the critical microchips from severely damaged Apple logic boards to functional boards, enabling them to access the data.
These devices employ high-security protocols in which specific components need to remain connected to each other via the logic board for data to be accessible. There are thousands of surface-mounted micro-components on a logic board, and Apple does not share the methods to gain access to the encrypted data. It’s up to us to create custom solutions to keep pace with the rapidly advancing technology from Apple and others. Without that knowledge, data recovery from a failed logic board is impossible.
In addition, microchips must be handled with the utmost care. If components are mishandled, microscopic damage may occur, rendering the data unrecoverable. Through dedicated research and development, DriveSavers Data Recovery engineers have determined the optimal techniques for safe and effective data recovery, minimizing the risk of data loss.
Q: What can we expect from your company in the next 6 months? What are your plans?
A: DriveSavers data recovery engineers can handle just about anything thrown at them. They’re passionate about storage technology and continually improving their capabilities. As new technology comes to market, we will continue advancing our capabilities and developing proprietary data recovery solutions. We have some exciting things in the works to further improve our recovery rate, but we’re still in the R&D phase, so not yet ready to share.
Q: What is the best thing about your company that people might not know about?
A: DriveSavers started out in 1985 working solely on HDD devices. Many people don’t know that we’re also experts at recovering data from other types of devices. If it can store data, we can recover the data. That includes HDDs, SSDs, CCTVs, cell phones of all types, tablets of all types, SD cards and more.
It’s hard to pin down the “best thing” about DriveSavers. So many factors weigh equally to create the best outcome and customer experience. The expertise of our data recovery engineers, the compassion of our customer service team, our million-dollar inventory of donor devices and the security levels we adhere to as a company are just a few.
One thing that stands out is a focus on collaboration and comradery at DriveSavers. Our data recovery engineers work closely together, and work together well. That leads to innovation and excitement, necessary factors when keeping up with the speed of technology.Activate Social Media:
