Q: Travis, can you tell us how EddyHR helps businesses?

Q: You’ve recently acquired Pay-Role HR Solutions; could you tell us more about this?
A: Our customers asked for it so we worked hard to deliver. To be a true all-in-one HR solution for customers, you have to have everything from recruiting to payroll. We’ve been after that true all-in-one status since we started, and this acquisition made it possible much faster than what we could have done on our own.

Q: Can you explain the different tools you’re creating and what they do?
A: For the most part, these tools are pretty self-explanatory, but that doesn’t mean they’re rudimentary. A simple, easy-to-use product is always more difficult to build than its more complex counterpart.
Hiring: Aside from saving a lot of time and money, our ATS actually helps you hire better. We help you organize your candidates in a way that dropping the ball is impossible. We also make the process very collaborative to allow everyone on the hiring team to comment on and rate candidates. This helps companies hire faster and better because of the streamlined collaborative approach.
Onboarding: You only get one chance to make a first impression. Our digital onboarding platform helps HR create amazing first-day experiences for their new hires. EddyHR lets HR managers and new hires complete the paperwork before day one so it can be spent more productively. This improved experience isn’t just a nice side-effect, it can reduce turnover and save you a ton of money.
Employee Database: Our employee database is a way out of your mess of employee spreadsheets. HR holds a lot of employee information, and some of it is very sensitive. EddyHR takes all of your employee information and makes it easy to navigate, and extremely secure.
Time Off: Without a tool like EddyHR, employees request time off through text, email, paper, and word of mouth. With an inconsistent process like this comes inconsistent results. Our PTO tool makes requesting, and approving time off take seconds, and it’s very organized.
Time Tracking: Knowing how many hours employees worked isn’t any help if you don’t have a good way to get that information to payroll. With EddyHR, employees can clock in and out from their home page and admins can edit or approve timesheets in seconds. EddyHR also puts together payroll-ready reports with employees’ regular hours, overtime hours, and double overtime hours.
Payroll: With EddyHR’s payroll software, you can forget about payroll deadlines, accuracy, and compliance because we shoulder that burden for you. The company we acquired uses its own processes and the team is incredible. They’re true experts in the field.
Q: What are the benefits of using HR tech solutions instead of old-school processes?
A: There are so many benefits it’s crazy. Think of it this way. People were using spreadsheets for HR in the ‘80s. That’s 30 to 40 years ago! Technology has come such a long way since then that today we hardly use anything that they used in the ‘80s except for spreadsheets.
The main problem with spreadsheets and paper processes is that they’re just so slow. For example, creating a PTO plan, adding employees to it, keeping balances, and approving requests could take you hours or days. With EddyHR, you can do that in minutes. Poor efficiency is much more expensive than EddyHR ever could be.
