Q: What is happening at Edvance360 that people need to know about?
A: We were just nominated for finalists (top three) in two categories for CODiE Awards: Best Post-secondary LMS and Best Corporate Learning/Workforce Development software. We’ve been finalists for the Best LMS category eight years running, winning it in both 2011 and 2015. We are looking forward to end of May to hear who wins! (More info can be found here.)
Q: You’ve recently announced Edvance360 LMS-SN Version 8.0, tell us something more?
A: Yes, Edvance360 just released Version 8 – an exciting re-write of the entire system, new features, and enhancements to other features. Q: Can you give us more insights into your software?
A: Edvance360 has always been a bit of a disrupter. We are now one of the oldest LMS vendors (there is one that is a few months older, but they’ve been bought and sold several times, so it almost doesn’t count) but we still seem to disrupt the LMS industry – always pushing the evolution envelope. We started as a social networking company, saw the benefits our “social learning” tools would have for online education (which was in its infancy way back then), developed course management tools, integrated the whole lot and became what we call a “Networked Learning Solution”. This is an evolution beyond an LMS, combining the concepts of learning on demand, collaboration, and networking to build an entire ecosystem for learners of any age, anywhere.

Q: What advantage does Edvance360 have over its competitors?
A: For some, that would be our stability. We’ve been around since 2004 and have no intention of going anywhere. For others, it’s our community-building tools and our unique focus on them. For higher ed schools, it’s our commitment to reach a 95% or higher faculty usage (lack of faculty usage is really the reason LMS vendors fail so often in schools). For K-12, it’s our competitive pricing and our competencies built in. For corporate training programs, it’s our ease of use. For non-profits and start-ups, it’s our experience. And for everyone, it’s our rave-winning support.

Q: What can we expect from Edvance360 in next six months?
A: Version 8.1 Additional “gamification” features, more reports and dashboards, Welcome Page for users (upon entry), easy creation of programs, additional early warning system options, additional drilling-down options/exporting options for dashboards, and Adaptive Learning. That last one is a pretty big deal.
