When was the last time you and your friends had fun together? I don’t mean Liking each others’ statuses on Facebook or catching up on WhatsApp – I mean actually sharing the same air, seeing each other smile and making each other laugh. If you’re anything like me, it doesn’t happen nearly enough. Trying to align everyone’s hectic schedules so you can spend some time together ends up being more trouble than it’s worth.
We don’t think it should be that way, which is why we’ve come up with emble – an app designed to take the stress out of planning parties, holidays and get-togethers with your friends.
The idea for emble came from a completely organic place – we know how hard it can be to get everyone to agree on what to do and when to do it, so we wanted to make a platform that would simplify the whole process. emble’s different from other apps because it has two distinct stages – Plan and Run – meaning you can manage the entire event from one place.
The Plan stage is collaboration at its best, and is one of the reasons why organising an awesome event is easy with emble. You can invite a few select friends to help you out by suggesting and voting on dates and activities, so there’s no danger of ideas getting lost in email conversations or discussion threads! It’s the perfect tool for those who are running low on inspiration or think trying to organise their loved ones is a bit like herding cats.
Once you’ve decided on an idea, you can use the Run stage to launch your event and invite all of your friends! We wanted to remove any barriers that would stop you including the people you wanted to come, so you can invite people from across the major social networks and by email – no one gets left behind!
Another feature that makes emble special is the ability for our users to easily collect money from their guests. If you’ve ever been the designated holiday booker or have arranged a visit to the theatre or a football game where all the tickets need to be booked in one go, you’ll know what a nightmare it can be trying to manage the money side of things as well as everything else! Asking your friends for cash is always a bit awkward, and organisers are all too frequently left out of pocket because one or two people just forget to pay. We want to encourage more people to organise parties and outings, and we think emble is the best way to make the planning process not only hassle-free, but fun!
Our goal with emble is simple: we want our users to create awesome events that enable them to have more fun and create lasting memories with the people they love the most.
