Enventys Partners is a new company formed from the merger of two firms focusing on product development, crowdfunding and marketing. They offer a full set of services to turn an idea into a reality, taking a concept from a simple design to a branded, crowdfunded new product. Below is our interview with Roy Morejon, President of Enventys Partners:
Q: Roy, how would you describe Enventys Partners in your own words?

The award-winning agency combines product development services, that take entrepreneurs and established companies from napkin sketch to production, with digital marketing expertise to bring innovative products to market. As a global leader in product development and marketing for more than 15 years, with five offices in the US and one in Asia, Enventys Partners designs, prototypes, manufactures, fulfills, crowdfunds and markets new products and startup businesses. Q: What problems do you see in the current crowdfunding landscape?
A: Rewards crowdfunding is thriving, but equity crowdfunding is only just beginning to get traction. There is a huge opportunity here for startups to raise the capital they need online through equity crowdfunding especially since Title III crowdfunding became legal in May of 2016. Title III of the JOBS Act allows for unaccredited investors – regular citizens – to buy equity in an early-stage company. Essentially, it benefits investors by providing easier access to startup investment opportunities, and it gives new companies greater access to a pool of available capital.
Clearly, this a good thing rather than a problem. However, we’d love to see equity crowdfunding become much more widely adopted. The problem is that, between regulatory hurdles meant to protect small investors and high transaction costs associated with paying for legal and accounting services related to the campaign, many companies find that the costs are too high given the success rate. After all, Kickstarter (which is for rewards crowdfunding) has a success rate of only about 36%, and equity crowdfunding appears to have an even lower success rate.
We hope to see the SEC make equity crowdfunding more accessible to entrepreneurs and startups, and to see it widely adopted as a good means to raise capital.

Q: What can we expect from you in next six months?
A: Enventys Partners formed at the beginning of 2017 as a merger of a digital marketing agency and a product development firm, so we have quite a few projects up our sleeves for the next 6-12 months. The two companies separately experienced significant growth over the past several years, even winning multiple Fast50 awards from the Charlotte Business Journal for being one of the fastest growing companies in Charlotte, and we expect that trajectory to continue. We have also partnered with several great clients who will be launching innovative new products soon.
Q: What’s the best thing about Enventys Partners that people might not know about?
A: Many people don’t know that we are much more than just a crowdfunding agency. Rather than simply focusing on bringing tech or design products to market through rewards-based crowdfunding, we work with clients ranging from creative hobby inventors to a large innovative companies to design and build new products, bring them to market through crowdfunding and traditional digital marketing, and coordinate sourcing and manufacturing to deliver to those who back the crowdfunding campaign or pre-order the product online.
