Q: Could you explain the function and advantages of FutureProof Retail’s mobile platform for shoppers?
A: We solve the number one complaint from shoppers about shopping in stores – having to wait in long checkout lines. Shoppers use our apps to scan items, pay with their phone, and skip checkout-lines. They can also save specials, get personalized recommendations, and leave direct feedback for merchants. For counters like the deli counter or the in-store cafe, shoppers can use our app (or use a mobile kiosk inside the store) to select the menu items they want ahead of time, and keep on shopping until they receive a text message that their order is ready for pick up.

Q: Could you explain the function and advantages of FutureProof Retail’s mobile platform for Merchants?
A: It was already difficult when traditional retail stores had to compete with the rapidly growing e-commerce businesses. When the online giants decided to come off line into the retail space this year starting with Amazon Go, competition intensified even more. Only the largest retailers like Sam’s Club and Walmart’s are ready to roll out their own Scan and Go mobile checkout response.
For all the other merchants, we have anticipated the need and prepared an affordable, secure, and easy solution that both shoppers and merchants love. We help brick and mortar retailers better compete by bringing the convenience and personalization capabilities of e-commerce shopping into their physical stores.
Q: What are your plans for next six months?
A: With our international technology and distribution partners, we will be expanding our services into different retail verticals and to different countries this year.
Q: What new technologies are disrupting the retail space right now?
A: Just coming back from the NRF Big trade-show, I would say the three biggest technologies that’s reinventing the retail space is e-commerce solutions, cloud based point of sale solutions, and our line-free mobile checkout.
