Below is our recent interview wiht Paul Pezzano, CEO at Go Connect:

Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to your company?

A: Go Connect was founded in the Atlanta area to focus on bringing easy to use, reliable and secure Internet to travelers. Founded by travelers who have first-hand experience of the challenges and limitation of travel WiFi, Go Connect set out to be different by centering the experience around the customer rather than the technology.

Our products offer smart features, that learn and get better over time, to make WiFi on the go better. We can optimize connections, detect security issues and even switch between a cellular connection or WIFi. Our goal is to make your travel WiFI experience more like an extension of your home or office WiFi network.

Technology has created new ways to consume entertainment, as well as new conveniences with smart homes. That is now intersecting with the rise in work from anywhere jobs. The pandemic has driven an acceleration of these trends, but they were well underway prior. Our products allow you to bring just about any of these entertainment options or conveniences with you when you travel, while as having the kind of security and reliability you need to work from anywhere.

Q: Any highlights on your recent announcement?

A: We are excited that our GoTravel App has been named the Best Travel Mobile App and Best Internet Service Provider Mobile App in the prestigious Web Marketing Association’s 2021 Mobile/Web Awards.

These awards highlight Go Connect’s market leadership for ease of use customer experience for our smart travel WIFi products. Go Connect’s approach is unique, focusing on the customer’s travel experience and the specific needs todays digital nomads. Our products make it easy for travelers who regularly move between locations and desire secure and reliable WiFi.

The GoTravel Mobile App is key to our approach to improving `t. It allows our users to manage their Go Connect devices easily. The app focuses on key areas related to travel often overlooked by other products: getting connected quickly, ensuring security and providing insights into the reliability of the internet connection on the go.

Q: Can you give us more insights into your offering?

A: Our offering currently has two products, Go Travel (WiFi only) and Go Travel Pro (cellular + WiFi). The Go Travel is targeted at users who generally have some other internet provider when they travel – at hotels or Airbnbs. They travel and move locations, but generally not so often or so remote they need to bring their own internet provider. Their want the ability to easily connect devices, be secure and when needed, help enhance and stabilize the connection. The Go Travel Pro is for people who either know they won’t have access to WiFi regularly, or don’t’ know. The great thing about our Go Travel Pro product is if they are somewhere cellular doesn’t work well, such as the interior of a building in an urban environment or perhaps at a remote National Park, they can easily connect to a WiFI network that may be available.

Our Go Travel Pro product also as an offering for cellular as a ”backup”. This is aimed at a hybrid between the two – where WiFI is already provided but where you can’t really afford to have the internet go down. The backup cellular capabilities mean we can automatically switch to cellular if the WIFI goes down.

Q: What can we expect from your company in next 6 months? What are your plans?

A: We continue to focus on making our product more seamless to the user. Less decisions and it just works. In the next 6 months we plan to add additional international carrier support. We also expect to add more of the major UIS Tier 1 carriers. We already operate with 2, and we’d like to add the other 2. Our goal is to have one device and one data plan that works with anyone, anywhere.

Q: What is the best thing about your company that people might not know about?

A: We are travelers ourselves. We love engage with our customers. Hearing their stories. Seeing their RVers and Vans. Their work from home setups. Hearing how the device made their trip more entertaining for their kids. We are about more than selling you a device and some data. We want to be a part of the community.
