Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to HireInfluence?

Q: You’ve recently partnered with Wagstaff Worldwide, Visit Carlsbad and Pantone to conduct a study to discover the top trending colors in travel; what are your findings?

A: This was a really fun project, something we couldn’t turn down. We collected and analyzed almost 200 photos from top influencers in the space, to see if there were any specific colors that stood out across all of the top engaging photos. There were 4 strong color patterns throughout the content. It became obvious that audiences are drawn to certain colors that make them like and engage with a post. These photos have the capability to create a level of lust in our consumers, while inspiring travel to the destinations portrayed in the photo… thus determining that color can be a valuable tool that destinations, like Visit Carlsbad, can use to attract potential visitors to their destinations. This becomes even more powerful when combined with influencer marketing methods.

Q: How exactly can brands can increase their confidence in working with influencers?

A: Sometimes if clients are uncomfortable, we urge them to spend some time on platforms like Instagram, Facebook and YouTube and review content where a brand is well-integrated. Everyone in our agency has had their wallet fall victim to influencer marketing at some point. It’s just the way that audiences, especially millennials, take recommendations on new products, services and ideas. If you spend enough time on social, you’ll start to see the power that interactive influencer marketing has over your normal ad.

We also urge brands to work with an experienced agency that is dedicated to development and execution of digital strategies within the influencer space (rather than using a subscription service of sorts). These “white-glove” level agencies are well-versed in knowing exactly who to target, what content to produce, what channels to focus efforts on, and how to generate the best possible return on investment.

Q: How powerful is influencer marketing?

A: We believe established and well-respected influencers are the most powerful vehicles available to progress the awareness of a brand, product, service or event. Older, traditional media is continuing its decline in popularity. Influencer marketing is digital, mobile and socially based as the world becomes more connected to each other through technology and brands need to assure they are equipped to transition. It is an authentic approach to brand exposure – leveraging popular personalities to showcase catalog offerings to a loyal and demo-targeted fan base.

Q: What are your plans for the future?

A: We recently launched an arm of our company focused on consulting. As influencer marketing trends continue to expand, we see larger brands developing a need to build internal teams to execute these programs in-house. Our training programs help bring structure to this process, while providing them with a comprehensive review of process, insight and tools for managing these often cumbersome agendas.

We will continue to lead, evolve and innovate within our space – stretching the boundaries of effectiveness, reliability, and accessibility through our expanding suite of influencer technology and services.
