How Sagitec Solutions Is Preparing For 2021

Below is our recent interview with Piyush Jain, CEO of Sagitec Solutions:

Q: Can you tell us something more about Sagitec Solutions and your business?

A: Sagitec has been helping our clients drive their vision into action since our beginnings in 2004. We saw an opportunity to help government and public sector agencies innovate their enterprise software model. Back then, many organizations spent millions of dollars on software that would have to be replaced every few years due to technical obsolesce. Our solutions provided a layered architecture that mitigates obsolesce risks, upgrades easily, and lowers operating costs.

We’ve seen tremendous success with this model as the market moves toward continuous upgrades and away from “ripping and replacing.” Our clients represent various sizes and industries, small, medium, and large organizations across pension organizations, state workforce agencies, and Medicaid organizations.

As the COVID-19 pandemic engulfed the world in 2020, we innovated our solutions to help businesses and organizations meet new challenges. For example, we developed and launched our Back to Office software solution to help bring employees back to work safely. From determining how many employees can be in the office, healthcare and workplace safety policies, employee screenings, and tailored recovery plans, it has the tools necessary for employers to confidently and safely re-open their offices.

Q: You’ve been recently named to the GovTech 100 list for the third year in a row; can you tell us something more?

A: It’s an honor to make it to the list for the third year in a row. Since the GovTech list first came out six years ago, it has highlighted companies helping the government and the public sector innovate processes and serve its members better. Those listed have introduced new ideas, implemented efficiencies, and set the stage for a brighter future.

This past year added a new wrinkle of difficulties to an already challenging endeavor. As the global pandemic ensued, many government agencies found themselves performing tasks they previously weren’t expected to do. From setting up remote work settings, incorporating new technology, and modernizing software processes, agencies turned to companies on the GovTech 100 list to help.

2020 was an unprecedented year of rapid change and disruption. We saw gov-tech companies rapidly adapt their services and solutions to help state and local government agencies navigate the uncertainty. Sagitec focused on assisting clients by creating solutions to help meet these challenges. Especially during the pandemic, our goal has been to help agencies modernize their software systems and scale for increased demand.

Q: Can you give us more insights into your solutions and how they helped during the COVID-19 pandemic?

A: As the global economy shut down, state workforce agencies particularly were inundated with demands. Simply put, their legacy systems, even if they were only a few years old, were not equipped to handle the number of requests. A further limitation was that many of these systems did not quickly transfer over to remote workplace settings. This encumbered the efficiency of many organizations and prevented needed relief from arriving swiftly.

Using Sagitec’s platform, we rapidly developed and deployed pandemic benefits systems for multiple states within a 3-week development cycle. This implementation time frame was made possible by our platform and is a remarkably short amount of time for a statewide application to go-live. As many states continue to struggle to process pandemic benefit claims, the PUA solutions built using our solution was able to help get much-needed money into the hands of citizens in the states that we served. 

Besides providing software that meets our clients’ needs, we are also uniquely positioned to deliver our solution remotely. We bring a combination of the right people, products, and processes to ensure that clients receive the solutions they need in an expedited but safe manner. By reorganizing our processes to adjust to remote settings, we can bring the right people to any project at any time, from security analysts and system architects to data specialists and more.

Q: What can we expect from Sagitec Solutions in the next few months?

A: The near future for Sagitec is dynamic and exciting. We took the lessons learned from 2020 to heart and are putting them into practice in the new year. We are expanding into new markets, adding further innovations to our solutions, and assisting businesses and organizations adjust to the new normal.

We recently announced our strategic expansion into Canada. Canada is among the top five largest countries in public sector work and is a key area of focus for us moving forward. This is in line with our global expansion program, where we seek to solve challenges for new markets and clients.
