How Xehar Delivers Confidence To Women Through Fashion

Xehar is a fashion-tech company on a mission to help women of all types and body sizes improve their confidence through various fashion products. The company aims to provide a better online shopping experience and promote positive self-image with a wide range of curated Xehar outfit combinations. Below is our interview with Haily Dahan from Xehar:

Q: How would you describe Xehar in your own words?

A: We like to think of ourselves as more than just a fashion company. We are using technology to create community among our customers, and have a passion for improving the online shopping experience. I like to call Xehar a fashion-tech company. We are working to address a big problem in the way that people buy fashion items online.

The biggest problem for women shopping online is trying to find a stylish outfit online by sorting through various pieces on a fashion site. There is a desperate need for an easier way to piece together fashion items and show customers how they look together. We are solving this painful problem for consumers.

Xehar has two main divisions, an online store called the Xehar Marketplace, and a mobile application called Xehar app. Our product offerings are personally styled outfits, available at set prices for an affordable shopping experience. A big focus of our brand is the concept of promoting confident healthy lifestyles for our customers. We promote and champion women’s confidence in their bodies, and have a growing base of customers and community members who support each other via social media.

Q: You’ve recently announced the development of your new Xehar mobile shopping app; could you tell us something more?

A: We have gotten really good at listening to our customers. They are looking for discount items and love to find entire outfits that they can purchase from a single online transaction. Within the Xehar app, we are designing an machine learning algorithm based on user information and preferences that will help to better select fashion items for them. This helps reduce the scroll time spent shopping in the app, and makes for a more fluid shopping experience.

People are used to technologies helping them to make better decisions, and we are bringing this to our app shopping experience. Thus, our mobile technology saves numerous hours of shopping excursions, while providing great outfits from head to toe.

We also have an ear to fashion industry trends, and have discovered a lingering problem that retailers, fashion dealers and individual designers currently have. They get stuck with excess inventory that they have to move quickly. Currently there are many gaps in the process of getting older items off of warehouse shelves, and this is resulting in millions of dollars of losses for those who cannot move their excess items. Because our technology is proprietary, I can’t get into too much detail, but I can tell you that no one else in the industry is doing what we are about to do.

Q: What geographic markets are you focusing on currently?

A: Xehar has a focus on millennial women between the age of 18 and 35, who are interested in fashion but are frustrated with the shopping experience. For these women, there is a wide selection of Xehar curated outfit combinations that brings confidence and positive self-image.

Our top five geographic target markets are: Austin, TX; Salt Lake City, UT; San Diego, CA; Los Angeles, CA; and Denver, CO. Within these areas, Xehar has a focus on two sub-sets within the millennial group. Xehar Style caters to contemporary and petite sized females who are sizes XS-L and Xehar Curvy is a specialized fashion line that is focused on the underserved plus sized millennial women (0XL-XXXXL).

We are excited that Xehar clothing lines are especially popular with the plus-sized millennial market, and this traction has helped to gain the attention of massive online retailers like Overstock and Walmart, which now both carry the Xehar clothing fashion lines.

When I was young and had girlfriends who were feeling down and out, I would invite them over and would dress them up in fun and fashionable outfits. I would notice an immediately change in the attitude after putting on an outfit that they loved. They would seem to snap out of feeling sad, and still to this day, I see the power of how much happiness can be brought by something as simple as a new outfit. At Xehar, feeling good about yourself is core to our values and our brand. Our mission is to help our customers feel good about their image from the inside out, and we help by giving them access to fashionable clothes at affordable prices.

When people feel happy with who they are, it is easier for them to work toward the person that they want to be. What we are doing is using fashion in a way to help start a positive body image process. Getting healthy takes a long time, and in that process, we want to support all women of all body sizes and types along their journey.

Q: What are your plans for next six months?

A: In the next six months we are focused on our international curvy model fashion line competition, and we are raising funds to build out our web-based Xehar Marketplace e-commerce platform and on-demand Xehar shopping application.

I am really excited about our international curvy model fashion competition, where we are gathering social media influencers from around the globe, who are competing for a chance to have their own fashion line under the Xehar brand. We launched the new campaign to promote confidence in women through inspiring fashion collections. We are holding a series of fashion focused events in the coming months to showcase the contestants, and the events are gaining great exposure via social media.

This contest is a way for us to promote #aconfidentyou lifestyle. I truly believe that in order to start leading a better lifestyle, you have to love yourself first. Fashion is a great outlet to feel good about yourself. When you look good you feel good. A new outfit that fits well and is stylish, makes our customers feel happy on the inside. These models are sharing our fashion with their followers, and their confidence is contagious. When you are more confident, you feel better, and when you feel better, it helps support a healthy lifestyle.

To help support our current and future growth, Xehar has just announced fundraising of $4,000,000 to expand our website and develop our new mobile app. We consider ourselves a fashion-tech company because of our focus on improving the way people shop online. The sales and distribution infrastructure of both the website and application are designed to maximize the back end connections to distributors who have excess inventory and supply, which makes for more selections and discount prices for our customers.

Our dynamic back-end systems allow us to sell curated outfits that include a top, a bottom and accessories in a bundle package that increases the per value transaction for our customers. We are truly building a unique on-demand experience for shoppers that will be connected to affordable curated clothing, at the click of a finger or tap of a thumb.

Q: What’s the best thing about Xehar that people might not know about?

A: Many people look at online retailers as companies that simply sell products online. Xehar was founded with a rebellious spirit and a lofty objective to help build confidence in women through inspiring fashion collections. We don’t just sell clothes, we create community and build confidence.
