Hunter & Bard Helps Businesses Create Integrated Customer Journeys And Campaigns That Fit Their Needs

Listen to this article

Hunter & Bard helps tech companies develop mindshare. Why develop mindshare and not build mindshare? Because mindshare isn’t something that you build and then you’re done. Mindshare needs to be constantly worked on, it’s evolving. Hunter & Bard develops mindshare through building awareness and brands, which means they do PR, marketing and design. Below is our interview with Shira Abel, the CEO of Hunter & Bard:

Q: You’ve recently been named a Gold Winner for Company Branding in 2017 Hermes Creative Awards; tell us something more?

A: We are thrilled about receiving this award for our branding work with Totango. The company provides customer success solutions for businesses by connecting customer data, monitoring, and building engagement. We believe in the importance of what they do and appreciate the opportunity to be a part of the rebranding process. Helping them take their branding to the next level from a startup to an enterprise-grade company was extremely exciting, because they already had an amazing product.

Hunter & Bard did a full brand identity with Totango, from logo to colors, textures, iconography, typography, and branding materials strategy. The new logo resonates better with what the brand represents – data and the “dance” between the user and the product (for those who don’t know, To Tango).

Q: Can you give us more insights into your services?

A: We build brands for our clients. Our branding and design, strategic and behavioral marketing, and PR departments work together to create integrated customer journeys and campaigns that fit their needs. Working with our clients, together we build emotion into their brand and message. Our team helps them visually define what’s important and what’s not. We integrate their corporate culture across branding materials starting from their logo to their website, user experience, user interface, campaigns, and materials. It’s about creating a style – personification of a brand.

We work closely with our clients to learn what they do and we are very good at translating that into a design and message that sells. A brand needs to reflect a company’s core values – that’s the key. That’s why our clients don’t just choose us, we have to believe in what they do.

Q: Who are the primary clients of Hunter & Bard and what are some of the key challenges you are helping them solve?

A: Many of our clients are Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) companies: Folloze, Cyara, Viptela, and Qubole. Some of the main challenges that we run into with SaaS clients involve marketing and design debt. Startups concentrate on developing their product and often don’t make marketing and design their priority, because of the limited resources and the amount of time they have to invest into other important aspects of their business.

Once a company starts to grow, it’s time to sort out all of the things that had been put on the back burner while growth and initial sales were the focus. We help them solve the dilemma of positioning, messaging, branding, design and marketing strategy. We have been through this process with dozens of companies over the years and know what to focus on and when. We guide companies through the process while keeping their strategic objectives and target market in mind. We know what materials should be developed first and how they should be marketed. We know how to sell.

For companies the product is their whole brand appearance. When it comes to rebranding, everything has to be consistent. Radical changes in brand design mean eventually product design and experience have to be altered.

Your clients change and your design needs to meet their new needs. Most of the businesses in the world still don’t have a responsive mobile design. If you don’t acknowledge these things and don’t develop them step by step, you end up with design debt.

Q: What are your plans for the future?

A: We’re looking forward to stop working when robots take over, but until then innovation is our number one priority. We grow and adapt to consistent changes in the PR, marketing, and design world. We understand the importance of discovery, awareness and trust for Business-to-Business companies. We love our work, and plan to continue growing and working with more top tier tech clients.
