Below is our recent interview with Ariel Mashiyev, CEO at iLobby:

Ariel Mashiyev

Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to iLobby?

A: iLobby is changing the way businesses interact with their guests, employees and external contractors. Our unique SaaS-based platform resides on a tablet-powered kiosk which can be located at any point of entry or clearance within a facility. iLobby takes care of collecting visitor information, obtaining signatures on legal documents if necessary, printing visitor badges and granting access to the facility. In a single swoop, it effectively makes a company smarter, more efficient and secure all while eliminating outdated processes and procedures.

Q: Can you give us insights into your features?

A: iLobby was built to cater to the needs of a vast array of businesses, from small offices to large enterprises. For clients operating in highly-regulated industries, iLobby presents legal documents such as safety videos, compliance questionnaires and NDAs; for other clients, it offers features such as visitor pre-registration, ID scanning as well as visitor photos and badges. Ultimately, regardless of the flavor of the platform, iLobby’s mission is to tailor its features to the individual client’s needs.

The company’s product strategy and development approach are focused on understanding both current as well as future customer needs, reevaluating often, and implementing the features that will yield the highest returns when it comes to clients’ security and efficiency.

Q: What makes iLobby the best solution to optimize visitor management process?

A: iLobby’s uniqueness and core competency lies in the platform’s ability to mold itself to fit within almost any business, from SMB to enterprise to manufacturing to government. This approach is presently unmatched within the sector allowing iLobby to attract names such as Netflix, Unilever, PepsiCo, Toronto Pearson International Airport amongst others.

iLobby can be customized and implemented within any company, even those serving highly-regulated industries which may require advanced access tracking, visitor screening and/or data collection at the point of entry and the company heavily invests into research and development in order to further grow the platform’s features, applicability and innovation factor.

One of iLobby’s latest product developments is a large-scale platform implementation at Toronto Pearson International Airport. Being North America’s second largest airport, Toronto Pearson sees over 47,000,000 passengers and 450,000 aircraft travelling through the airport each year. Necessarily so, the operational support system for the airport is one of largest as well.

iLobby was contracted to implement its platform within various points of entry within the airport’s restricted areas while providing full oversight to administrative personnel. The platform was to be fully customized in order to meet the stringent guidelines of the airport, ensuring full compliance along each link in the chain. Ultimately, the project was a tremendous success, completing on budget and ahead of schedule – and displaying the unique capabilities iLobby Corp. has to offer in both software engineering as well as project management.

Q: iLobby better compared to a traditional front desk?

A: iLobby continuously proves itself as a natural progression of a facility’s front desk by being able to single-handedly eliminate or digitize a multitude of processes, that previous to it – would have required a human as well as some sort of logbook or computer to fulfill. In very much the same way we have replaced the need for cashiers by opting for self-checkout at many supermarkets and big box stores, iLobby offers very similar benefits to businesses looking to expedite visitor entry, while both improving security and efficiency.

Apart from simplifying the sign-in process, iLobby improves compliance in all organizations.

Companies serving highly-regulated industries, such as government facilities, financial institutions and many others are required to accurately track access to their facilities, to screen their visitors and to provide detailed visitor access reports in compliance with a long list of internationally-accepted standards. The iLobby platform takes all of this into account and collects, manages, reports and forgets data in a 100% compliant manner, including PCI, ITAR, GDPR amongst others.

Q: What are your plans for the future?

A: iLobby is excited to continue solving current problems within company’s processes but is gearing up to solve the problems of tomorrow – potentially those that we are even unaware of today. In order to more accurately look forward, we must first look back; and it’s clear to see that much of today’s technological innovation, automation and security is based upon notions and constructs that didn’t exist 5 years ago – some even 1 year ago. As businesses evolve, so too will their need for security, efficiency and oversight – iLobby’s goal is to continuously reinvent its platform in order to meet the needs of the SMB, Enterprises and Institution of tomorrow – with the same effectiveness that it does today.
