Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to your company?
A: Fluxion Biosciences provides live cell analysis tools that more easily and accurately lead towards research discoveries of new ways to diagnose and treat patients. By using our tools, researchers advance the understanding of the molecular and cellular mechanisms of disease and thereby facilitate rapid advances in disease research, drug discovery, and the development of diagnostic tests contributing to therapies based on patient-specific biomarkers.
Q: Can you give us more insights into what makes your company unique?
A: We deliver very personalized services and products to our customers. Many of our systems are made to order specifically for that customer. We have highly educated and experienced employees that will help you in the installation and implementation of your new system. We’re here to create a long-term relationship to provide you with the best quality products for your current and future research projects.
Q: Any highlights on your recent announcement?
A: Yes, we are expanding our Advanced Therapeutics Discovery Services business unit to support the growing demand for our services. We provide services such as ion channel screening, live cell analysis, and liquid biopsy. Many customers find this to be an affordable way to utilize our technology before bringing it fully in-house.
Q: Can you give us insights into your products / services?
A: Fluxion is most known for our BioFlux line of products. Our BioFlux systems introduce physiological shear flow to your research, which more closely imitates the environment of the human body. Some examples would be cancer cells circulating throughout the body and Car-T cells migrating through the endothelium.
This means that by using our systems during drug discovery and development, you will save both time and money because only the most promising compounds will pass through to the clinical trials. The product that is becoming increasingly popular with our customers is our IonFlux Mercury 16. This top quality yet affordable system helps researchers understand ion channel dysfunction. Ion channel dysfunction is attributed to multiple diseases and disorders including autoimmune diseases, sleeping disorders, Alzheimer disease, cystic fibrosis, and various cancers.
IsoFlux is our third line of systems. The IsoFlux system isolates rare cells such as CTCs, exosomes, fetal cells from maternal blood and rare immune cells. These intact rare cells will be immediately ready for use in the application of your choice.
