Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to your company?
A: Digital Dekay LLC is a women-owned, minority-owned small business started in 2023, by myself. I applied for the LLC just to make it really real. Over the years of getting my career up and running after graduating with a Master of Science in Digital Marketing, many friends and family were reaching out for my expertise in marketing for advice, consulting, strategy, requests for website build-outs, and graphic design/branding activations.
Over those years my vision to bring all of this together and be represented by a company began to take shape, and I also found my passion for website design, graphics design, and consulting. I wore multiple hats over the years in my marketing career and really found myself passionate about the previously mentioned part of the all-encompassing digital marketing realm. During my masters program, I learned all about consumer behavior, how to analyze and report on data, the effectiveness of strategies, and of course I learned how to copywrite.
Dekay (pronounced De-Kay) had always been a pseudonym for me, and what other word to best pair it with than what I am good at – digital work! And so, Digital Dekay was just an idea floating around in my mind until the formation of my LLC and the launch of my website.
Q: Can you give us more insights into what makes your company unique?
A: With all the structured website platforms with parameters that are copied and pasted over and over, it’s hard to make something uniquely yours. Digital Dekay creates custom work from scratch so that you are able to feature your business, service, or product on a website that hasn’t been created before or display your logo with a concept created from brainstorming. There are many layers that go into what can be considered “custom”, and whether it is worth it or not. But at the end of the day, when a client is reflecting on what they are presenting to the world, they can indeed be satisfied that they went the extra mile with their business.
Q: Any highlights on your recent announcement (if any)?
A: A highlight is completing my first official project for a client operating as Digital Dekay LLC! A dear friend of mine reached out to assist her and her husband create a logo for their new business. I was able to work with them to understand their vision and deliver it to their liking. Another highlight is the creation of my logo and the launch of my website. It’s definitely something that I am super excited to get started, so I’m able to help other people achieve their goals.
Every project I take on will be a highlight, so there is more to come!
Q: Can you give us insights into your products / services?
A: I have three main segments for my services.
- Custom Website Services
- Branding & Graphic Design
- Consulting & Strategy
My website services include a standard custom 8-page website build, copywriting, image sourcing/licensing/website hosting/SEO. I also am flexible to work with clients’ needs that may require more pages (advance build) or fewer pages (express build).
My branding & graphic design services consist of setting up a brand guideline document to nail down what is your business/product/service really about and ask who you want to be. I put together a bucket of words, choose colors based on connotations, create a mood board, and more! The value of branding yourself goes hand in hand with graphic design, so you can amplify your brand in the most optimized way possible.
My consulting and strategy services include a phone call to see what you’re looking for and a strategy devised to assist your marketing efforts. This can include social media strategy, website optimization, ad creation and strategy, and more.
A couple of other services I provide as an “al-a-carte” add-on is SEM, as well as online/3rd party account setup and optimization. I am not currently advertising this however it will be something that I can handle if my client is looking for it.
Q: What can we expect from your company in the next 6 months? What are your plans?
A: You can expect some happy clients! I’m looking to launch and assist small business owners looking for a rebrand/refresh or a launch in their digital presence, and in 6 months, my operations will be running smoothly to complete these requests. I plan to do some client outreach via friends and family and advertise my services locally.
Q: What are some of the main objectives for your company in the year ahead and how do you plan to achieve them?
A: My main objective for my company is to build websites for those who need them. I plan to achieve this with a compelling client acquisition strategy in my local area and target individuals/professionals I already know to assist in their upcoming marketing activities. Word of mouth is still very valuable – even in today’s digital world.
Q: What is the best thing about your company that people might not know about?
A: The best thing about my company is that you know who you’re working with. I am currently a highly skilled one-woman show behind Digital Dekay LLC. Unlike other businesses who tend to pass your requests along through their company to multiple account managers or outsource their services – I stick with you along the way so I can really learn your company’s goals and how to get that out there via the website, graphic design, and branding.
