Before starting InvolveSoft, Saumya co-founded a startup right out of high school in New Delhi which focussed on using technology to reduce gender-based abortions in India which was later acquired by the Indian Government. She went on to earn her Masters in Computer Science from the University of California, Santa Cruz with a focus on Natural Language Processing.
Saumya is a strong advocate of more representation of women in tech and is the founder of a nonprofit in India focused on women empowerment.

Q: For those who haven’t heard of it, what is the best way to describe InvolveSoft?
A: We’ve built a workplace community platform that drives alignment between employees and leadership.
1.) Leadership align employees to the company mission via calculated outreach

Q: Why is it important to provide employers with a way to create better engagement within their work community?
A: Often, company fragmentation and workplace disbursement results in a misalignment between leadership and employees. For companies who do not fit the ‘traditional’ company mold including having a:
-Dispersed workforce
-flexible work hours
-recent hires and/or acquisitions
Leadership is challenged with driving alignment across their employees despite these challenges. We want to enable alignment between leadership and their employees through our workplace community platform.

A: There is an estimated 80% of global workers that are considered “deskless”
When employees are not aligned to the leadership; it affects the company’s retention rates and Employee NPS
-Leadership cannot effectively capture the pulse of their employees
-Current solutions are limited to season/annual survey reviews
-There is limited feedback or internal data collection around the internal communication being sent to employees
Fragmentation across teams limit leadership’s oversight/impact
-Leadership cannot effectively drive alignment through top down communication
-Leadership is not able to differentiate communication between company broadcasts and contextual/targeted group communication
-Some employees cannot be reached if they are remote and thus never get information
It’s as simple as – if everyone knows the goal and the direction the organization is headed, they can all work collectively towards the goal in an efficient manner. This overall would increase productivity.
