If you are familiar with the SAP SuccessFactors HCM suite or have worked on projects related to Cloud HCM, chances are that you have come across Luke Marson, either directly (conferences, podcasts, talks, blog posts…) or indirectly (SAP Strategy for Cloud HCM, SAP SuccessFactors books, Influence of functionalities…). The company he co-founded, iXerv, has just announced expanding its operations to North America, and for this occasion we wanted to have a quick chat with him. Here is our recent interview with Luke:
Q: Luke, how would you describe iXerv in your own words?
A: iXerv is a young and innovate services partner focused 100% on SAP SuccessFactors cloud HR solutions. Fundamentally we are about providing solutions to customers’ every-day HR problems and helping customers address their long-term HR vision and strategy. We work customers of all shapes and sizes in multiple geographies and use our HR process expertise, deep SAP SuccessFactors product knowledge, understanding of data and process integration, proprietary accelerators, and unique product extensions to support customer success.
A core focus for us – for which we have highly recognized expertise – is SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central, the core HR module of SAP that handles employee record-keeping and administration, organizational management, self-services, time management, benefits administration, and more. This is something we’re really passionate about, especially since it forms the foundation for strategic HR and talent management.
Q: You’ve recently announced expansion into North America; tell us something more?
A: North America is a key market for SAP SuccessFactors and one where I have a lot of experience. By adding North America into iXerv, it means that we can offer global services to global customers. It’s no secret that North America is a hot-bed for SAP SuccessFactors and cloud HR in particular, so it enables us to further establish ourselves as a global leader in SAP SuccessFactors.
Q: Could you explain the most prominent advantages of your CloudCare?
A: CloudCare is a fully-fledged support offering for SAP SuccessFactors. The most prominent advantage of our CloudCare offering for supporting live SAP SuccessFactors systems is that we’re embedding in our service design our individual experiences as customer of SAP SuccessFactors in our previous roles, and tackling what can create a hassle while managing, supporting, or enhancing this live system. The innovations are both commercial (crystal clear transparent pricing strategy) and functional (services included in the offering, categories of options fitting the customer’s need). We believe this perfectly covers what we call the Cloud HCM Support Gap introduced within companies making the move to the cloud. You can find more info in our website.
Q: What are your plans for next six months?
A: We’re looking to further bolster our group of customers, as well as continue to produce accelerators and SAP-certified integrations. Additionally, we’re looking at expanding our range of products to offer customers solutions for SAP SuccessFactors that aren’t available elsewhere. We’re really looking to help SAP add further value to the SAP SuccessFactors HCM suite of products.
Q: What’s the best thing about iXerv that people might not know about?
A: We have leadership and experts that have co-written books on SAP SuccessFactors for SAP PRESS. “SuccessFactors with SAP ERP HCM: Business Process and Use” covers the entire SAP SuccessFactors HCM suite of products, while “SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central: The Comprehensive Guide” is really the Employee Central bible.
