Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to Manscaped?
A: Founded in 2017, San Diego-based Manscaped (as seen on Shark Tank) is the only brand dedicated to men’s grooming and hygiene below-the-waist. Manscaped’s product line was created specifically for a man’s distinctive grooming needs. Featuring specially formulated products to cleanse, moisturize, and deodorize, as well as tools engineered to give a man a close, refined appearance, Manscaped equips him with the right products and tools for the job in a complete manscaping system that is easy, powerful, and satisfying.
Q: Can you give us insights into your products?
A: Manscaped’s core philosophy is providing men with the right tools for the job. We address male hygiene and grooming concerns with a complete manscaping system that includes The Lawn Mower 2.0™, a rechargeable, waterproof trimmer with SkinSafe™ technology for a nick-free trim. We also have a complete kit to cleanse, moisturize and deodorize and all Manscaped formulations feature Active pH Control™ and essential ingredients to help the refined gentleman stay, clean, dry, and healthy.

Q: What makes your products stand out from your competition?
A: Manscaped is the only brand addressing this area of the male body and the concerns that follow this high friction area. We’ve engineered our tools and custom formulated our products to give men confidence to be their best.
Q: But why should we manscape? Are there any benefits?
A: In a recent poll of 7,570 adults, researchers found that 66% of men groomed down there, compared to 85% of women. Most men rely on razors or beard trimmers, both of which are not designed for coarse hair. Not to mention, using the same tools across the body opens one up to cross contamination and increased risk of injury and possible infection. A 2017 study published in The Journal of the American Medical Association found that pubic grooming-related injuries occur in approximately 25% of individuals who attempt to do it. Usually this means nicks and razor burns, but sometimes, it means more serious cases of laceration and skin infections since minor cuts can trap bacteria.
Q: What are your plans for the future?
A: Manscaped has new product extensions launching soon addressing other areas of the body. Our product roadmap is very aggressive and we have lofty growth targets for 2019. It’s a very exciting time to part of the Manscaped team and it’s a very exciting and invigorating place to work.
